IN PHOTOS | Schools Division Office of Ilocos Norte observed ASEAN Month and the Philippinesβ ASEAN Chairship 2026 during this morningβs Flag Raising Ceremony.
Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 117, s. 2026, the SDOIN community played the ASEAN Anthem, βThe ASEAN Way,β along with the official ASEAN 2026 Song, βOne Vision, One Ocean.β This initiative will continue every Monday throughout August to build regional awareness, promote cooperation, and strengthen solidarity among ASEAN member states.
Following the flag ceremony, SDO Ilocos Norte distributed Lapel Voice Amplifiers to school heads, led by Schools Division Superintendent Atty. Donato D. Balderas Jr.
In a virtual message, Education Secretary Sonny Angara noted that the voice amplifiers will help prevent voice strain, throat discomfort, and related health issues caused by extended daily instruction.

Steadfast in Safety: SDOIN Unites for Provincewide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill
In response to Executive Order No. CAM 074-26, s. 2026 issued by Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos, the Schools Division of Ilocos Norte (SDOIN), through the leadership of Schools Division Superintendent Atty. Donato D. Balderas, Jr., directed all public and private elementary and secondary schools to participate in the Provincewide Schools Simultaneous Earthquake Drill today, July 30, 2026 (8:30 A.M.).
Learners, teaching personnel, and non-teaching personnel across the schools division executed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocol and conducted an orderly evacuation to designated safe assembly areas. The activation of School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Teams further assessed school preparedness, validated emergency response mechanisms, and strengthened coordination during emergency situations.
By promoting safety, inclusivity, and child protection, SDOIN continues to foster a culture of preparedness and resilience, ensuring that every school remains a safe and disaster-resilient learning environment for every Ilocano learner.

ππ ππππππ | The Schools Division of Ilocos Norte, in partnership with National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) and other government agencies, successfully conducted an outreach program in Adams, Ilocos Norte aimed at promoting awareness, strengthening community engagement, and extending meaningful assistance to learners.
As part of the activity, school supplies and other essential necessities were distributed to students to help support their educational journey and encourage them to pursue their studies with confidence. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of partner agencies to uplift communities by investing in the welfare and future of the youth.
Through collaboration and a whole-of-government approach, we continue to strengthen partnerships that foster education, compassion, and public service for the benefit of every Filipino.
