𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗡-𝗨𝗣

On September 19, 2026, the Members and Officers of the United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary – Northwestern University Chapter, together with our Department of Architecture Head, Arch. Xeth Bielza, joined SM City Laoag in the celebration of the 2026 International Coastal Clean-Up Day at Brgy. 35 Gabu Sur, Laoag City.

The event highlighted that even the smallest piece of plastic or waste matters. Through collective action and shared responsibility, every effort contributes to cleaner shores, healthier communities, and a more sustainable future.

As future architects, may we continue to uphold our responsibility to protect the environment and build with purpose, care, and sustainability.

The newly elected UAPSA-NWU Chapter officers, headed by Chapter President Rischelle II A. Ortal, alongside our Chapter Adviser, Ar. Melmar Gudoy, took their oath as the official officers for Academic Year 2026–2027.

As we move forward in this school year, the new set of officers commits to lead the NWU Architecture student body with integrity, honesty, responsibility, and wisdom.

Guided by Sustainable Foundations, Boundless Future, we strive to build a strong foundation through unity and purposeful leadership, shaping a future of meaningful service and lasting impact.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The UAPSA–Northwestern University Chapter proudly took part in the production of the Induction of Newly Elected Officers and Oath-Taking of New Members of the United Architects of the Philippines – Ilocos Norte–Laoag City Chapter (UAP INLCC).

Held on August 14, 2026, at Twins Catering & Function Hall, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, the event marked the formal beginning of another chapter of service and leadership for the profession.

From behind the scenes to the heart of the celebration, UAPSA–NWU was honored to contribute to an occasion that brings together architects and aspiring architects in the spirit of service, leadership, collaboration, and progress.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

On July 31, 2026, the Architecture Department faculty, 5th Year Architecture students, and their parents gathered at the CAD Laboratory for the Undergraduate Thesis Assembly and Parents’ Consultation 2026.

The orientation officially marked the beginning of the students’ thesis journey, covering the guidelines, requirements, and expectations for the academic year. It also emphasized the importance of faculty and parental support as the students work toward completing their thesis.

The UAPSA-NWU family proudly congratulates Mr. Ian Deniel Ivan C. Domingo of BS-Architecture 03 for securing 1st Place in the Poster-Making Contest during Youth Fest 2026: “Tinig at Galaw ng Kabataan,” held in celebration of International Youth Day 2026 on August 12, 2026, at the International House, Northwestern University, Laoag City.

His winning poster, entitled “PAMANA” carries a meaningful message:

"Ang bawat tao ay may karapatang mamuhay nang tanggap siya ng mundo. Ito ay kalipunan ng iba’t ibang karapatang pantao na dapat hubugin at isabuhay ng bawat isa upang magsilbing pamana, hindi lamang para sa kasalukuyang panahon, kundi higit sa lahat, upang maipasa ang pamanang ito sa mga susunod na henerasyon.”
