As we celebrate Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines this year, it is important to celebrate this because its purpose is to give our fellow Filipinos the awareness, respect, and love for the cultural heritage of the country.
Now we would like to grab the opportunity to give “dayaw” to our culture. But first, what do the word dayaw mean? Is it the dayaw term that we know in Ilocos?
We would like to add to your knowledge that the
word “dayaw” in Ilokano, means to respect; in Waray, it means papuri or praise; in Hiligaynon, is to take pride; and in Davao it means good, beautiful and valuable.
So as Filipinos and a student of Data Center College of the Philippines we, the BS CRIMINOLOGY 1-C students participate in this celebration by simply wearing traditional costumes here in our country and giving “DAYAW” to it.

Nowadays we forgot about the value of the KATUTUBONG KASUOTAN, this partuat shows that we must patronize those KATUTUBONG KASUOTAN because it represents that we are a Filipino citizen.

I tell you while some painting tells the meaning perfectly plain, other requires a little mystery, some has elusiveness and some fantasy. So come and see, the different paintings of CRIM 1-C students that would make you wonder, amazed, laugh and perplexed.

Painting is just another way of keeping a diary. Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures. A work of art is a scream of freedom. Art is not what you see, but what you make others see. In any art you're allowed to steal anything if you can make it better.
