Strengthening Partnership for Filipino CPAs
A meaningful step forward in strengthening opportunities for Filipino CPAs and finance professionals.
Today, ACCA and The ExP Group - Philippines met with PICPA National President Diony Villeta and PICPA Executive Director Ben Callon at the PICPA Building in Mandaluyong City to discuss stronger collaboration in support of the Philippine accountancy profession.
Among the key initiatives discussed were:

🔹 The PICPA Annual National Convention in Iloilo City, bringing together CPAs from across the country

From Vision to Action: The ExP Group - Philippines and ACCA Strengthen Partnership
Building on the productive discussions held earlier this year at the ACCA Malaysia Office in Kuala Lumpur, ExP Group Philippines and ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia continue to translate their shared vision into concrete action.
Today, the CEO of ExP Group Philippines met with Ang Wen How, Education Relationships Lead – ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia, and Calvin Wong FCCA, Education Relationship Manager – ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia, at Belmont Hotel Manila in Newport City, Pasay, to advance strategic initiatives that will expand access to globally recognized accounting and finance education in the Philippines.
Key agreements reached during the meeting include:
✅ Advancing the establishment of an ACCA Computer-Based Examination (CBE) Centre in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, making internationally recognized ACCA examinations more accessible to learners across Northern Luzon.
✅ Exploring the alignment of TESDA Bookkeeping NC III with one of the Foundation-level examinations under the new ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4), creating a stronger pathway from technical education to an internationally recognized professional qualification.
✅ Strengthening joint market development initiatives to address the growing demand for bookkeeping, accounting, and finance professionals while expanding access to world-class learning opportunities for Filipinos.
The meeting also finalized key preparations for the November 2026 visit of Helen Brand OBE, Chief Executive of ACCA, which is expected to include the PICPA-Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Annual National Convention in Iloilo City, the official launch of ExP Learning Campus’ ACCA Computer-Based Exam (CBE) Centre in Laoag City, and the anticipated Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with TESDA Secretary Francisco "Kiko" Benitez.

Strengthening Partnerships for Sustainable Agriculture and Livestock Development
Sofia Farm Enterprise Development Corporation continues to build meaningful collaborations that will create greater opportunities for Filipino farmers, students, and aspiring agripreneurs.
We recently paid a courtesy visit to the Department of Agriculture - Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) Headquarters in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, where the CEO of The ExP Group - Philippines and Sofia Farm Enterprise Development Corporation had a fruitful meeting with Dr. Edwin Atabay, Deputy Executive Director of DA-PCC.
The discussion focused on potential areas of collaboration, including:
✅ Technical collaboration and knowledge sharing
✅ Research and development initiatives
✅ Carabao-based enterprise development
✅ Development of micro-credentials on dairy buffalo production
✅ Training on milk processing and value-added dairy products
✅ The proposed establishment of a Farmers' Livestock School at Sofia Farm to serve as a center for learning, innovation, and capacity building for farmers, students, and future agripreneurs.
Following the meeting, Dr. Atabay graciously presented DA-PCC's Dairy Buffalo Production Handbook 2nd Edition, a comprehensive reference material for dairy carabao production, providing valuable insights into the whole carabao value chain.
This visit marks another important milestone in the realization of the Sofia Farm Integrated Development Plan, as we continue to build strong partnerships with government agencies, academic institutions, industry leaders, and farming communities. Together, we are laying the foundation for a future-ready learning ecosystem that promotes agricultural innovation, research, skills development, and inclusive rural enterprise growth.
