Westville Christian Academy of Ifugao Celebrates Nutrition Month Culmination

Westville Christian Academy of Ifugao successfully held its Nutrition Month Culminating Program, the first school-wide activity for the School Year 2026–2027, with the theme "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan."

The event was graced by the school's administrator, Dr. Venus M. Dait. Ma'am Pauline Hangdaan, the school principal also gave a message and encouraged everyone to practice healthy eating habits and care for the environment.

Pupils delighted parents, teachers, and schoolmates with their lively dance, song, and play presentations. After the program, Grade 5 and Grade 6 pupils, together with their advisers and the assistance of some parents, prepared healthy viands in a collaborative cooking activity.

The celebration ended with a joyful potluck, where everyone shared delicious and nutritious food prepared with love. The event reminded the school community that healthy living and working together go hand in hand.

Ballots Cast, Leaders Chosen: WCAI Names New SELG Officers

WCAI held the election for the School Elementary Learner Government (SELG) officers for School Year 2026–2027 on June 29, 2026.
The campaign period started on June 23-26, with two groups participating in the election. The Advocates was led by Airannie Cabbigat of Grade 6 Nissi, while the SPK (School Peace Keepers) group was led by Al Aixer Tayaban, also from Grade 6 Nissi.

After the voting, teachers and learners led by Mr. Jonathan Dacanay, SELG Advuser tallied the votes to determine the results. The new set of SELG officers was confirmed after the counting process.
The elected officers were announced on June 30 after the flag ceremony. The WCAI learners accepted their new leaders as they were introduced.

During the announcement, Principal Pauline Hangdaan reminded the newly elected officers to do their responsibilities as leaders. She also encouraged those who were not elected to continue being good learners and to view the experience as a challenge and an opportunity for growth.

The election marked the beginning of a new term of student leadership at WCAI as the newly elected officers prepare to carry out their responsibilities for the coming school year.

Day 3 of the BSP-GSP Encampment kicked off with morning devotion followed by an energetic Zumba session. Scouts then cooked breakfast, joined the Junior BSP-GSP for community service, fun activities,prepared sandwiches, tackled the Amazing Race, and cooked for the boodle fight. The three-day camp ended with a joyful joint boodle fight shared by all campers, teachers, and parents.

WCAI Celebrates a Successful 4-Day 13th Founding Anniversary Celebration

Westville Christian Academy of Ifugao (WCAI) proudly concluded its 13th Founding Anniversary with a joyful and memorable four-day celebration held from February 4–7, 2026. The event was filled with excitement, learning, and camaraderie that brought smiles to pupils, teachers, parents, and the entire school community.

Throughout the celebration, pupils enjoyed a wide variety of engaging activities—from the interactive activities of Tam-an English Learning Corner, to traditional and fun parlor games that encouraged teamwork and sportsmanship to the most awaited parade learners proudly showcased their team spirit and enthusiasm.

Participants from Kinder to Grade 6 were grouped into two competing teams: Team Cedar and Team Sycamore. Both teams displayed remarkable energy and cooperation in all events. However, after days of friendly competition, Team Sycamore emerged victorious and was declared the Overall Champion during the awarding ceremony.

The 13th Founding Anniversary was not only a celebration of years of service but also a meaningful experience that strengthened unity and school pride among learners, all made possible through God’s grace and guidance. To Him be all the thanks and glory.
