๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™ HFCFI ROTC UNIT KICKS OFF JOINT OPENING OF BASIC AND ADVANCE ROTC TRAINING FOR SY 2026โ€“2027

LAMITAN CITY, BASILAN โ€” September 20, 2026. The Hardam Furigay Colleges Foundation Inc. (HFCFI) ROTC Unit officially commenced its Basic and Advance ROTC Training for School Year 2026โ€“2027 during a joint opening ceremony held at the HFCFI Gymnasium, Barangay Limook, Lamitan City, Basilan.

The activity brought together Basic and Advance ROTC cadets, ROTC training staff, school officials, and guests as they formally marked the beginning of another year of military training, leadership development, discipline, and service.

Serving as the Keynote Speaker was Colonel Arnold L Gasalatan, INF (MNSA), PA, Group Commander of the 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), Philippine Army.

In his message, Col Gasalatan emphasized the importance of ROTC in developing young Filipinos into disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented citizens. He encouraged the cadets to embrace the values of discipline, integrity, leadership, teamwork, and commitment to duty, emphasizing that the lessons learned through ROTC extend beyond the training environment and can guide them in their academic, professional, and personal lives.

The joint opening also underscored the continuing partnership between the HFCFI ROTC Unit and the 9RCDG in strengthening the ROTC program and providing cadets with meaningful opportunities to develop leadership and a deeper sense of patriotism and responsibility.

As the new training year begins, the HFCFI ROTC Unit calls upon its cadets to face every challenge with determination, uphold the highest standards of conduct, and carry the spirit of โ€œDuty, Honor, Countryโ€ throughout their ROTC journey.
