Ramon F. Arroza, Barangay Captain, and the Parent-Teachers Association, headed by Mrs. Melinde S. Maculan Elementary School has been identified as one of the official playing venues for the Lake Sebu East District Cluster II Athletic Association Meet 2026, which will be held on July 25–26, 2026, and hosted by Upper Maculan National High School with the theme, "Unlocking the Future Through Sports." This sporting event serves as part of the preparation for the Lake Sebu East District Athletic Association Meet 2026, scheduled on August 8–9, 2026 at Lake Soloton Integrated School.

In preparation for this significant event, the school extends its sincere appreciation to the Parent-Teachers Association (PTA), led by Mrs. Melinde S. Ugbamin, for its unwavering commitment and active participation in preparing the school grounds for the various sporting events.

The school also gratefully acknowledges the invaluable support of the Barangay Local Government Unit of Lower Maculan for facilitating coordination and communication regarding the deployment of heavy equipment needed for site preparation. Likewise, heartfelt gratitude is extended to the Municipal Local Government Unit of Lake Sebu, under the leadership of Hon. Antonio B. Fungan Jr., for providing a motor grader to assist in the ground leveling, and to Gensus Farm for generously deploying a payloader for the same purpose.

Indeed, the successful preparation of Maculan Elementary School as one of the athletic venues has been made possible through the collective efforts, generosity, and strong partnership among the school stakeholders, local government units, private partners, the Parent-Teachers Association, and the dedicated teaching personnel. Their unwavering support and shared commitment exemplify the spirit of collaboration in ensuring the success of the upcoming athletic meet.

Professional development remains an essential strategy in strengthening the competencies of our school personnel and enhancing the delivery of quality learning services. Guided by the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), the school is committed to implementing competency-based professional development programs that respond to the identified learning and growth needs of our teachers.

This year, we are proud to have successfully developed three training programs that have been granted the Certificate of Quality Assurance (CQA) by the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) Region XII:

1. Training Workshop on Developing PISA-Like Classroom Assessments;
2. Training Workshop on the Conduct of National Classroom-Based Assessment;
3. Training Workshop on the Effective Implementation of the Multi-Factored Assessment Tool (MFAT).

These quality-assured professional development programs reflect our school's commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
