PARENTS, ONE THING TEACHERS WISH YOU KNEW
We see the sadness in your eyes every time we sit down after an assessment.
The disappointment.
The worry.
The silent question: “Kailan kaya niya matututunan?”
But please know:
Your child is learning more than what the assessment paper shows.
He can now form a line.
He can wait for his turn.
He can pack away his things.
He can pick up and throw his trash.
He can follow simple instructions.
These may look like small things.
But for our learners, these are big steps toward independence.
So before we ask, “Ano pa ang hindi niya kaya?”
Let’s also ask:
“Ano na ang kaya niyang gawin ngayon na hindi niya kayang gawin noon?”
Because progress doesn't always come in letters, numbers, or shapes.
Sometimes, progress looks like a child learning how to be part of the world. ❤️
