SRPNHS JOINS THE 4TH QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED)

The Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) was successfully conducted at San Ramon Pilot National High School (SRPNHS) through the cooperation and teamwork of KERG, BSP, CTP, aspiring KERG members, SSLG, and even the school journalists. Everyone united with one goal — to strengthen safety, discipline, and disaster preparedness among students.

This activity reminds everyone that disasters can happen unexpectedly, but through proper training and preparedness, we can protect ourselves and others. Let us continue to promote safety, discipline, and readiness in every step we take.

A heartfelt appreciation to John Kevin Florendo for leading the earthquake drill, and to Darrius James Rebuya, the SSLG President, for his active support and participation. Gratitude is also extended to Darell Dean Verdejo, Senior Crew Leader of BSP, along with the hardworking Scout members, for their time and dedication that made the activity meaningful and successful.

This event aims to improve the preparedness and safety of SRPNHS students during an earthquake. By participating in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), SRPNHS joins the national effort to raise awareness about earthquake hazards and ensures that everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively during an earthquake emergency.

𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮’𝙨 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩: 𝘈 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦, 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴.

This morning, trainees were officially turned over to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), where they learned about fire safety, discipline, and the responsibilities that come with being a responder. The experience emphasized that preparedness and presence of mind are key to saving lives.

In the afternoon, the excitement continued as we joined the MDRRMO team for our rappelling activity. It was a thrilling and challenging experience that tested our strength, focus, and trust in one another. Every step down reminded us that courage grows when we face our fears together.

Day 2 may have pushed us out of our comfort zones, but it also strengthened our unity, confidence, and commitment to serve. One more day to go before our training officially comes to an end, and we’re ready to make it count!

𝙅𝙐𝙎𝙏 𝙄𝙉: 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘪𝘥 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨

The first day of our training at the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) has come to an inspiring close. Today marked our first step toward becoming more prepared and responsible responders through our First Aid Training. It was a day filled with learning‚ teamwork‚ and discovery‚ reminding us that even the simplest knowledge can save a life.

Throughout the session‚ participants learned how to stay calm and take action during emergencies. From proper wound care to basic life-saving procedures‚ every activity highlighted the importance of presence of mind‚ empathy‚ and courage. We are truly grateful to our speaker‚ Sir Donato A. Panoy‚ for generously sharing their knowledge and guiding us with patience and expertise. Their passion for service encouraged everyone to keep learning and to serve with heart.

We were also joined by participants from Cabotonan High School‚ Lagonoy High School‚ Dahat National Vocational High School‚ San Rafael National High School‚ and APMI‚ who showed dedication and teamwork throughout the day. Seeing everyone work together with the shared goal of being ready to help others made this experience even more meaningful.

This is only the beginning of our journey. More lessons‚ challenges‚ and opportunities to grow await us in the coming days of training. Today‚ we were reminded that preparedness is not only about skills but also about compassion‚ responsibility‚ and the willingness to make a difference.

SRPNHS in Action!

The earthquake drill at SRPNHS was successfully carried out through the teamwork and cooperation of the KERG, Scouts, CTP, aspiring KERG members, the SSLG, and even the school journalists. Everyone came together with one shared goal—to strengthen safety, discipline, and disaster preparedness among students.

The drill did not only focus on the basic steps such as “duck, cover, and hold” and safe evacuation, but also highlighted how to properly respond to patients during emergencies. Students demonstrated essential skills like giving first aid, carrying and transporting patients, and staying calm while helping those in need.

Special thanks go to John Kevin Florendo, who led the conduct of the earthquake drill, and to Darrius James Rebuya, the SSLG President, for his active support and participation. Gratitude is also extended to Darell Dean Verdejo, Senior Crew Leader of the BSP, together with the dedicated Scout members, who contributed their time and skills to make the activity more meaningful and effective.

This important activity served as a reminder that preparedness is not only about protecting ourselves, but also about extending care and compassion to others in times of need.

Intrams 2025 has come to a close, and we are proud to say that we served with heart from beginning to end. From assisting during games to responding in moments of need, KERG stood ready all throughout.

But what made the last day truly special was not just the successful duties completed. It was the unity shared among all student organizations and clubs. After everything was done, we gathered around for a boodle fight. It was a moment of rest, laughter, and connection. No more tasks. No more pressure. Just one big family enjoying a meal together.

Seeing everyone eat side by side reminded us of what really matters. It is the friendships formed, the teamwork built, and the sense of community that stays even after the games are over.

To every student leader, officer, and volunteer who showed up and gave their best, thank you so much. You are the reason Intrams 2025 became not just an event but a memory we will all carry with us.

The Kabalikat Emergency Response Group – SRPNHS is now officially back in service for the new school year!

We are honored to present our newly elected officers, who are committed to uphold the values of KERG through responsible leadership and dedication to emergency response.

We also want to express our sincere gratitude to Sir Roy Montilla our previous adviser, for his unwavering support and guidance throughout the past school year.
