Gaston Elementary School (GES) was named in honor of Hon. Segundo Gaston, a resident of the place with his family, who became a representative of the province of Misamis Oriental. G.E.S is located in the highest part of the municipality, six (6) kilometers away from the Poblacion, Municipality of Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental. It was 1958 when Primary School was etablished in the barangay with Grad

es I and II. The classroom structure was only made of nipa as roofing and flattered bamboo for its walls. The people of Gaston were first inhabited by the lumads belonging to the Higaonon Tribe. As the years passed by, many settlers were lured to live in the place because the land was still very fertile and is very much fitted for agriculture.
