Today, IFSU-Lagawe Campus joins the nation in commemorating Ninoy Aquino Day, honoring the life and legacy of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino, Jr., whose courage and commitment to democracy left a lasting mark on the history of the Filipino nation.

May we continue to remember his sacrifice and uphold the values of democracy, freedom, and love of country.//

The media and promotions coordinator of Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus, Ms. Raienne Blace G. Gullunan, participated in the MEDISYNC–Media Synchronization held on August 20, 2026, at IFSU–Lamut Campus, together with media and promotions personnel from the different campuses of the University, to establish synchronization of social media posts and discuss the establishment of their respective campus websites. // RBG

𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀–𝐈𝐟𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝟐 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐅𝐒𝐔–𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐞

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)–Ifugao donated two serviceable vehicles to Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus during a meeting with the TESDA–Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (CSITE) Ifugao Campus headed by Engr. Eduardo O. Tamayao, Campus Director, and IFSU–Lagawe officials on August 20, 2026, as the two institutions discussed the establishment of training centers at IFSU-Lagawe.

The vehicles will support the Industrial Technology program of IFSU–Lagawe, providing additional resources for students in their training and practical learning activities.

The discussion on the establishment of training centers at IFSU–Lagawe will provide opportunities for technical-vocational training and skills development complementing the Campus' existing academic programs. // RBG

𝐈𝐅𝐒𝐔–𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐲𝐨𝐧

The College of Business Management (CBM) of IFSU–Lagawe Campus successfully conducted capacity-building trainings on Homestay Operations, Food and Beverage Service, Culinary Presentation, and Table Setting for the Hingyon community on August 13–14, 2026.

The activity forms part of Project TURISMo, IFSU's continuing initiative to strengthen community-based tourism through relevant skills development and partnerships with local communities.

Through extension programs that bring knowledge and practical skills beyond the classroom, IFSU–Lagawe continues to empower communities and contribute to the sustainable development of local tourism in Ifugao.

𝐃𝐓𝐈–𝐂𝐀𝐑 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 ₱𝟓-𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐒𝐅 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐅𝐒𝐔–𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 (𝐅𝐚𝐛𝐋𝐚𝐛)

LAGAWE, IFUGAO – Dr. Freddie B. Caday, IFSU President, together with Dr. Moses B. Appoy, Campus Executive Director of IFSU–Lagawe Campus, and other University officials, welcomed Atty. Raymond G. Panhon, Regional Director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Engr. Francis D. Pacio, Provincial Director of DTI–Ifugao, and other DTI personnel for the validation of the proposed ₱5-million Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project for the IFSU Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab) at the IFSU–Lagawe Campus.

The validation focused on assessing the proposed facility and other technical and operational requirements in preparation for the implementation of the project. The activity also provided an avenue for DTI and IFSU officials to discuss the project's requirements, potential, and next steps.

The proposed FabLab is envisioned to provide students, faculty, and other stakeholders with access to fabrication equipment and technological resources that can support innovation, prototyping, skills development, research, and entrepreneurship.

The project complements the University's continuing efforts to strengthen innovation and technology development while providing students with opportunities to translate ideas and technologies into tangible products and potential enterprises.

The activity further underscores the continuing partnership between IFSU and DTI in advancing initiatives that promote innovation, industry collaboration, and inclusive economic development in Ifugao. // RBG

Dr. Freddie B. Caday, University President, together with University officials, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of Hon. Solomon R. Chungalao, Congressman of the Lone District of Ifugao, to discuss priority project proposals aimed at advancing academic excellence, innovation, and institutional development across the University.

Among the matters presented were proposals focused on the development of campus facilities, enhancement of academic programs, and implementation of strategic initiatives that will create greater opportunities for students, faculty, and other stakeholders.

The meeting also served as an avenue to strengthen collaboration between Ifugao State University and the Office of the Congressman in pursuing programs and projects that support the University's long-term development agenda while contributing to the socio-economic growth of the Province of Ifugao.

Through sustained partnerships with national government agencies and key stakeholders, Ifugao State University remains committed to implementing transformative initiatives that enhance the quality of instruction, research, extension, and innovation, while promoting inclusive and sustainable development. // RBG
