LAGAWE, IFUGAO โ Dr. Freddie B. Caday, IFSU President, together with Dr. Moses B. Appoy, Campus Executive Director of IFSUโLagawe Campus, and other University officials, welcomed Atty. Raymond G. Panhon, Regional Director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Engr. Francis D. Pacio, Provincial Director of DTIโIfugao, and other DTI personnel for the validation of the proposed โฑ5-million Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project for the IFSU Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab) at the IFSUโLagawe Campus.
The validation focused on assessing the proposed facility and other technical and operational requirements in preparation for the implementation of the project. The activity also provided an avenue for DTI and IFSU officials to discuss the project's requirements, potential, and next steps.
The proposed FabLab is envisioned to provide students, faculty, and other stakeholders with access to fabrication equipment and technological resources that can support innovation, prototyping, skills development, research, and entrepreneurship.
The project complements the University's continuing efforts to strengthen innovation and technology development while providing students with opportunities to translate ideas and technologies into tangible products and potential enterprises.
The activity further underscores the continuing partnership between IFSU and DTI in advancing initiatives that promote innovation, industry collaboration, and inclusive economic development in Ifugao. // RBG
