𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 | In observance of the 34th National Family Week and in view of the rising fuel prices, Ifugao State University shall implement the following work and class arrangements across all campuses on September 28, 2026 (Monday):

𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆
• Employees shall observe a Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement.
• Classes shall be conducted asynchronously.
• Employees whose physical presence is urgently required shall report to their respective offices, as determined by their supervisor/head of office.
• Security personnel shall continue to report for duty to ensure the security of IFSU campuses, facilities, and properties.

𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐎𝐍
• Work in IFSU shall be suspended beginning 1:00 PM, pursuant to Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 136 which provides for the suspension of work in government agencies in observance of “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day and the 34th National Family Week.
• Personnel performing basic, security, disaster preparedness/response, and other vital services shall continue to render necessary services.

IFSU encourages everyone to take this opportunity to save on travel, spend meaningful time with loved ones, and celebrate the importance of family.

𝐁𝐒 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐔𝐏 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) program of Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus started its Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) for online accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on September 21, 2026, with the activity scheduled to run through September 25.

Prof. Meddy S. Mangaring of Samar State University serves as the team leader for the online accreditation.

The Preliminary Survey Visit assesses the BSEE program’s compliance with AACCUP accreditation standards and provides the program with an evaluation of areas that may be improved as part of the accreditation process. //

𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐃 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐅𝐒𝐔-𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐞’𝐬 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠

The Department of Infrastructure and Site Development (DISD), together with Dr. Moses B. Appoy, OIC Campus Executive Director, visited the site of the approved 21st-century academic building of Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus on September 21, 2026, to begin planning for its construction.

The proposed 21st-century academic building is intended to provide modern learning facilities that integrate digital learning and flexible spaces for learners. //

𝐈𝐅𝐒𝐔-𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐋𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐠 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

Officials of Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus visited education facilities of Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU)–Laoag Campus as part of the Campus’ benchmarking activity on academic practices and teaching and learning facilities.

The delegation explored the Center for Teacher Excellence, Center for Flexible Learning Hub, Garments Section, and Computer Laboratory to learn about their respective practices and operations.

The visit focused on the academic practices and facilities of MMSU that serve as references for IFSU–Lagawe Campus in developing and improving its academic programs and teaching and learning facilities. // RBG

𝐈𝐅𝐒𝐔-𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐜 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

As part of its ongoing efforts to improve its projects, programs, and facilities, officials of Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus benchmarked laboratories, research centers, and state-of-the-art facilities of Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU)–Batac Campus on September 18, 2026.

One of the facilities visited was the MMSU Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab), in preparation for the establishment of a FabLab at IFSU–Lagawe Campus. The delegation also visited the Center for Flexible Learning (CFL).

Dr. Dionisio S. Bucao, MMSU Director for Research, headed the benchmarking visit to the University’s 11 research centers: Garlic Research Center (GRC); Center for Cellular and Molecular Medical Research (CMED); Bamboo Research and Processing Center; Tuklas Lunas Development Center (TLDC); Functional Foods and Nutraceutical Research Center (FNRC); Natural Resources Conservation and Management Center (NRCMC); Center for Innovative Materials in Emerging Applications (CIMEA); Social Development Research Center (SDRC); Regional Research and Training Center for Climate Change Studies (RRTCCS); Coastal Engineering Research Center (CoastER); and Center for Histomodeling and BioComputing in Applied Biomedical Research (HiBAR).

The benchmarking activity focused on learning from MMSU’s practices in the development and implementation of projects, programs, and facilities. //RBG

The Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus officials paid a courtesy visit to Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) President Dr. Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr. on September 18, 2026, as part of their benchmarking activity on academic programs, teaching and learning facilities, and technical operations. //

𝐂𝐁𝐌 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝟑𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳

Students from the College of Business and Management (CBM) of Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus won the top prizes in the provincial elimination of the 30th Philippine Statistics Quiz conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) at the IFSU-Lamut Campus on September 16, 2026.

Cachuela, Quianna Ryza was named champion, while Umingli, Mara Kathleen placed first. Five other CBM students were named finalists: Baglan, Gideon; Dulnuan, Royston; Malanta, Yden Shiva; Castro, Leizle Joy; and Battulon, Christine Grace.

The students were coached by Dr. John G. Pagaddut, CPA, LPT, Dean of the college.

The result marks the third consecutive year that CBM students have won the championship in the said event.// RBG
