📢 Lagawe NHS Joins the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)!
Students and teachers of Lagawe National High School actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on March 12, 2026, demonstrating discipline, preparedness, and teamwork.
With the guidance of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) officers namely FO1 Arnel T. Umlano and FO1 Albastro P. Puddunan, students also learned the proper use of fire extinguishers and basic fire safety practices. The drill may have been short, but it was truly meaningful and empowering.
This activity reminds us that preparedness saves lives. Together, we continue to build a safer and more resilient school community.

Seeds of faith, values, and reflection were planted in the hearts of our Grade 10 learners during their recollection held at the Municipal Evacuation Center in Cal-ay, Boliwong, Lagawe, Ifugao. 🙏✨ Guided by Pastor Delfin Cannog and Pastora Gemma, the activity reminded our students to pause, reflect, and strengthen their spiritual life—one of the meaningful yearly traditions of Lagawe National High School.
We are grateful for the presence and support of Hon. Glen Dangayo (Chairman on Education), Hon. Rionel Mangandat (SK President), and SK Hector, whose commitment to the youth continues to inspire. Our sincere thanks as well to LGU Lagawe, through the leadership of Mayor Leslie Nayahangan, for allowing us to use the clean and conducive hall.
Special appreciation goes to the two care takers ate Gemma and ate Angie for their assistance..To Sir Oliver Dela Cerna and our dedicated practice teachers who lovingly prepared the food, as well as to Kagawad Glen and the supportive parents for their financial help you are much appreciated. Above all, we thank the entire Lagawe NHS family, headed by our supportive school head Sir RollyBert Taguilingon, for always standing behind activities that nurture the holistic growth of our learners.
Indeed, it takes a village to educate a child. 💙 Together, we continue to guide our students to grow in wisdom, character, and faith. 🌱✨

BFP Lagawe Responds Swiftly to Lagawe NHS Water Request

Lagawe, Ifugao – March 3, 2026

In a commendable display of prompt public service, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Lagawe Fire Station immediately responded to the water assistance request of Lagawe National High School on the morning of March 3, 2026.

The school, which has long depended primarily on “rain delivery” as its main water source, has been experiencing ongoing water supply challenges affecting daily operations. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, School Head ,Sir Rolly Bert G. Taguilingon, formally made a request on March 2, 2026, addressed to Hon. Leslie Roy H. Nayahangan thru sir SF04 Oscar A. Binwag, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of Lagawe Fire Station.

The request letter was personally delivered by Sir Oliver De La Cerna, emphasizing the school’s immediate need for water support.

Without delay, personnel from the Lagawe Fire Station responded the following morning, providing much-needed water to the school. Their swift action ensured that classes and school activities could continue without major disruption.

The immediate response of the BFP not only highlights their commitment to fire safety and emergency services but also demonstrates their dedication to community partnership and public service beyond firefighting duties.

The administration, faculty, and students of Lagawe NHS expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the BFP Lagawe Fire Station for their prompt assistance and unwavering support.

Indeed, this act of service reflects the true spirit of collaboration between government agencies and educational institutions — working hand in hand for the welfare of the community.

Golden Victory at CARAA 2026! 🏅
We proudly congratulate Jespher T. Nabanalan, a determined Grade 10 student of Lagawe National High School, for winning one gold medal in the weightlifting competition during the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association Meet held in Benguet.
That single gold medal shines brightly — not just because of victory, but because of the dedication, perseverance, and discipline behind it. Every successful lift tells a story of early mornings, intense training, sacrifices, and the courage to push beyond limits.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parents and family of Kuya Jespher for their unwavering love, guidance, and constant support. Behind every strong athlete is a strong family who believes, encourages, and stands beside them through every challenge. Your support has truly made a difference in his journey.
Jespher’s achievement brings pride to our school and community. More than that, it sends a powerful message to every learner: your talents are gifts from God. When you nurture them with faith, discipline, and hard work, amazing things can happen.
Sports is more than competition — it builds character, resilience, and determination. Jespher’s golden triumph reminds us that while dreams may feel heavy at first, with focus and perseverance, we can lift them one step at a time.
May this victory inspire more students to discover and develop their God-given skills — whether in sports, academics, arts, leadership, or technical fields. Strive for excellence. Believe in yourself. Work hard. Trust in God’s plan.
Congratulations once again, Kuya Jespher! 🥇💪
Your golden success lifts not only weights — but also the hopes and dreams of many.

In the spirit of unity, volunteerism, and shared responsibility, the organized clubs of Lagawe National High School—SSLG, STEP, DRRM, YES-O, Sports Club, and the Language Club—joined forces for a Joint Clean-Up Drive on February 19, 2026.
Right after the flag ceremony, students, teachers, and community stakeholders immediately mobilized and successfully completed the activity within the 50-minute allotted time. The clean-up covered areas from the Provincial Road leading to the school compound. Despite the limited time, the collective effort, discipline, and enthusiasm of the participants created a visible and meaningful impact—proving that when people work together with purpose, even a short moment can lead to lasting change.
The success of the initiative was made possible through the leadership and active support of our valued stakeholders:
• BLGU Boliwong, headed by Hon. Julio M. Paud
• PTA, headed by Mr. Larry Da-ang
• Sangguniang Kabataan, headed by Hon. Rionel Mangandat
• Calubong Neighborhood, headed by Engr. Lawrence Habbiling
Their presence and participation demonstrated the strength of collaboration between the school and the community in promoting environmental awareness, civic engagement, and social responsibility.
The school also extends its heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Julio M. Paud for generously providing nutritious snacks shared by the students during recess. This thoughtful gesture reflected genuine concern for the learners’ well-being and strengthened the bond between community leaders and the youth they serve.
More than a simple clean-up drive, the activity embodied the value of Maka-Kalikasan and served as a powerful reminder that sanitation and environmental protection are collective responsibilities. Through teamwork and shared commitment, learners were able to practice discipline, cooperation, and respect for the environment.
Together, the school and community continue to nurture a cleaner environment, a healthier campus, and a more united society—because every small action, when done with heart and unity, creates a lasting and meaningful impact. 🌿photos by:SSLG officers

Smiles that care, hearts that share. 🪥💙
In celebration of Love Month, the Grade 7 and 8 learners of Lagawe NHS came together for a meaningful toothbrushing activity on February 13, 2026—promoting wellness, confidence, and self-care. Each learner received toothbrushes and toothpaste, a simple gift that brings lasting impact.
This wellness initiative was made possible through the generosity of a benevolent donor Edel Grace Banpagkimayong , whose continuous support for DepEd activities inspires us to nurture healthy habits and brighter smiles.
Because love is also teaching our learners to care for themselves—one brush, one smile, one healthy step at a time. 💙

Lagawe National High School successfully conducted a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session on the use of Google Drive and Google Sheets for its teaching and non-teaching staff on November 27, 2025, facilitated by the school head, Mrs. Minerva L. Dinamling. The session, which forms part of the school’s INSET Plan for 2025, aimed to equip teachers with the skills to maximize basic Google applications for more efficient file management, data organization, and collaborative work.

Despite the ongoing power outage caused by Typhoon Uwan, the activity pushed through smoothly through the use of the school’s generator, allowing participants to complete the hands-on training. The SLAC enabled staff to explore essential features of both tools, reinforcing their digital readiness and enhancing their capacity for technology-driven tasks in teaching and school operations.

The successful conduct of the session demonstrates the school’s commitment to continuity of learning and professional development, regardless of challenges brought by natural calamities.
