🚀 Empowering Future Professionals: IFSU-Lagawe Conducts Pre-Employment Seminar
The IFSU-Lagawe Guidance & Counseling Office of the Department of Student Services and Development (DSSD), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-Ifugao Chapter) successfully conducted a comprehensive Pre-Employment Seminar to prepare soon-to-be graduates for the professional world! 🎓✨
The program kicked off with a warm welcome from the DSSD Chairperson, Mr. Juniefer B. Dulnuan, setting an inspired tone for a day of learning and career preparation.
Key Highlights of the Sessions:
📍 Career Planning & Job Hunter’s Toolkit:
The Campus Guidance Counselor, Ms. Lilibeth H. Cawilan, equipped participants with the "IFSU Job Hunter’s Kit." From crafting winning resumes and mastering mock interviews to a step-by-step guide on notarizing PDS and navigating government job portals in the Cordillera, the graduates are now ready to hit the ground running!
📍 Labor Standards & Market Trends:
Ms. Ruth-zel H. Dulnuan provided a deep dive into labor rights and workplace safety. Her session gave students a competitive edge by analyzing current employment rates, salary trends, and identifying crucial skills gaps in today’s market.
📍 Labor Relations & Employee Welfare:
Rounding out the morning session, Mr. Rodel Bumidang discussed the essentials of Labor Relations and General Labor Standards (GLS). Students gained vital knowledge on minimum wage, overtime pay, and holiday benefits to ensure they are well-protected and informed as they enter the workforce.
The event concluded with a Q&A opportunity, followed by the awarding of certificates to the esteemed guest speakers.
