DNHS “The Invincibles Team” Crowned Champion in Bintao Quiz Bee High School Division During Vinzons Day Celebration

As the province celebrates Vinzons Day, commemorating the life and legacy of Wenceslao Q. Vinzons, the students of Daguit National High School (DNHS) have another reason to celebrate following the remarkable victory of “The Invincibles Team” in the Bintao Quiz Bee High School Division held on September 27, 2026 at the Municipal Town Kiosk in Vinzons, Camarines Norte.

Composed of Jade Onie P. Barquin, Alexa Necole Martin, and Ivy Ilan, the DNHS team emerged as Champion after a highly competitive contest that gathered the brightest young minds from across the province. The team was guided and trained by their coach, Mary Grace A. Lagat.

The competition featured 22 teams representing 17 schools from different parts of Camarines Norte, making the championship victory even more significant. Throughout the quiz bee, “The Invincibles Team” demonstrated exceptional knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork, consistently outperforming other contenders in the challenging rounds of competition.

School Head Maria Lourdes M. Santos expressed pride in the team's achievement, commending the students and their coach for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. She noted that the victory reflects the strong academic foundation and collaborative spirit of the Daguit National High School community.

Teachers, parents, and fellow students also congratulated the team for bringing pride and honor to Daguit National High School. Their achievement highlights the school's continuing pursuit of academic excellence and the hard work of both the learners and their mentors.

The championship win stands as a fitting highlight of the Vinzons Day celebration, honoring the spirit of leadership, patriotism, and excellence embodied by Wenceslao Q. Vinzons, one of Camarines Norte’s most distinguished sons.

Villamarzo for achieving 5th Place in Feature Writing, under the mentorship of Sir Arth Renier Y. Mina.

DNHS Holds Heartfelt Exit Program for Retiring Educator

Daguit National High School (DNHS) paid tribute to a beloved and dedicated educator during an Exit Program held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the school's Multi-Purpose Hall. The event carried the theme “Honoring Years of Dedicated Service and Inspiring Legacy,” celebrating the remarkable career and invaluable contributions of Ma’am Virginia A. Jamito to the DNHS community.

The program commenced at 2:00 p.m. with an atmosphere of gratitude and appreciation as teachers, students, school officials, and guests gathered to recognize the retiree's years of devoted service in shaping the lives of countless learners.

Faculty President Efren C. Agravante, formally opened the program with welcome remarks, expressing the school's sincere appreciation for Ma’am Jamito's unwavering dedication to education. This was followed by a prayer led by Hana Sofia Elep, a Grade 12 student, seeking blessings for the gathering and for the retiree as she embarks on a new chapter of life.

One of the highlights of the event was the Audio-Visual Presentation, “A Tribute of Journey Through the Years,” which showcased significant milestones, memorable moments, and achievements throughout Ma’am Jamito’s teaching career. The presentation allowed attendees to look back on her lasting impact on the school.

To add joy and entertainment to the celebration, selected Grade 9 students presented an intermission number, followed by a series of tribute messages from students. Margo Bernardino (Grade 8), together with Xyril Faye B. Jamero and Jords Ian N. Sariola (Grade 9), shared heartfelt messages of gratitude, recalling the guidance, kindness, and inspiration extended by the retiree throughout her years of service.

Another intermission number was rendered by selected Grade 11 students, providing an uplifting performance that highlighted the talents of the student body and added warmth to the celebration.

The tribute continued as members of the faculty took turns delivering messages in honor of the retiree. Rosalinda I. Villanueva (Teacher VI), Selina S. Dado (Teacher III), Alily G. Aban (Master Teacher I), and Eduardo A. Guevarra (Administrative Assistant II) reflected on their experiences working alongside Ma’am Jamito. They highlighted her professionalism, dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving both students and fellow educators.

Selected Grade 12 students then performed another intermission number, maintaining the festive yet meaningful atmosphere of the event.

A special message was delivered by Maria Lourdes M. Santos, EdD, Principal III, who acknowledged Ma’am Jamito’s significant role in advancing the school's mission and vision. Dr. Santos commended the retiree's years of faithful service and her positive influence on generations of learners.

The celebration also included a gift-giving ceremony, during which students, teachers, and staff presented tokens of appreciation as symbols of their gratitude and love for the retiring educator. The simple yet meaningful gesture demonstrated the deep respect and admiration the school community holds for Ma’am Jamito.

An emotional and inspiring moment came when Ma’am Virginia A. Jamito delivered her Message of the Retiree, sharing reflections on her teaching journey, cherished memories, and words of encouragement to both colleagues and students. She expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who became part of her educational career and encouraged the younger generation to continue pursuing excellence and lifelong learning.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Joemar B. Paquita, Teacher II and SSLG Adviser, who thanked all participants, organizers, and guests for making the event a memorable tribute. The ceremony was hosted by Hanadi Eesha Delfin and Airon Vega, both Grade 12 students, who guided the audience throughout the program.

Daguit National High School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Camarines Norte 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (CN2nd PMFC), headed by PLTCOL Ryan P. Rimando, together with the personnel led by PCPl Lyndon Madronio and the other dedicated police officers who generously rendered their time and service on July 8 and 9, 2026, for their coordination, intensified police visibility, and police presence in our school.

We also express our sincere appreciation to Hon. Darwin Idanan, Barangay Captain of Daguit, and the dedicated Barangay Officials for their invaluable assistance, cooperation, and unwavering support in helping ensure the safety, security, and orderly conduct in our school.

DNHS Faculty Member Honored as Most Outstanding Published Author in International Awards

The Daguit National High School Family proudly extends its warmest congratulations to Maam Ivy G. Villanueva, for being recognized as the Most Outstanding Published Author by the Educational Research Center (ETCOR).

This prestigious recognition highlights the excellence and impact of her research work entitled, “EMOGI-PDT: A Proposed E-Tool to Aid Students’ Development of Understanding in Analyzing Descriptive Texts.” The award was presented during the International Research Capability-Building Seminar-Workshop, International Research Conference, Paper Presentations, ETCOR Awards Night, and Book Launching Ceremony held on May 14–16, 2026, with virtual participation from Singapore.

This remarkable achievement reflects dedication to educational innovation, research excellence, and the continuous pursuit of improving teaching and learning practices. Through meaningful research contributions, Maam Ivy has brought pride and honor not only to the academic community but also to Daguit National High School.

ARAL Summer Program 2026 at DNHS

The ARAL Summer Program 2026 officially commenced today, May 6, 2026, at Daguit National High School, marking a meaningful step toward strengthening learners’ literacy, numeracy and academic skills during the break. The activity headed by Maria Lourdes M. Santos, Principal III, whose leadership continues to inspire initiatives that support student development.

The opening of the program was led by Ma. Lourdes S. Villanueva, the school’s dedicated Reading Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning beyond the regular school year. With the active participation of both teaching and non-teaching personnel, the program reflects a strong sense of collaboration and commitment within the school community.

Learners enthusiastically joined the first day of activities, eager to enhance their reading comprehension and logical thinking skills through guided sessions and engaging exercises. The ARAL Summer Program aims to provide a supportive and enriching environment where students can improve their academic performance while building confidence in their abilities.
