❗❗How to become a Licensed Massage Therapist in the Philippines?❗❗

❣️To get a Department of Health (DOH) massage therapist license in the Philippines, you must complete at least 60 hours of training at a DOH-accredited institution, pass a two-part (written and practical) licensure exam administered by the Committee of Examiners for Massage Therapy (CEMT)

Key Requirements & Steps:
Qualifications:
Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old, and a high school graduate.

Training: Enroll in a DOH-accredited training provider (e.g.Occupational Oekogenia Providers Corporation on its affiliate Institution in Baguio City Whelp Complementary and Alternative Training Center, Inc.) for specialized training in anatomy, physiology, Microbiology and Pathology, Fundamental Concept of Massage Therapy, Massage Therapy application - Wellness & Therapeutic, Massage Therapy and Practice of Massage

❣️Documents to submit:
1. PSA Birth Certificate
2. Marriage Certificate for married women).
3. Certificate of Training from a DOH-accredited school.
4. NBI Clearance or Court clearance
5. Barangay Certificate of Good Moral Character.
6. Medical Certificate (from a government physician, declaring physical/mental fitness).
7. Passport-sized photos.
8. Cedula
9. Diploma or Transcript of Records

❣️Examination: Pass the theoretical exam and the practical/oral exam, usually held every first week of June and December.
Registration: After passing, secure the Certificate of Registration (COR) and license issued by the DOH-CEMT.

3. Certificate of Registration – This refers to a written commendation issued by the DOH-CEMT authorizing a person to practice massage therapy as a profession in the country.
🖍️ SECTION 5 PRACTICE OF MASSAGE
5.1 Licensed Massage Therapists shall practice massage in accordance with the following :

5.1.1 NO PERSON IS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE MASSAGE AS A PROFESSION IN THE PHILIPPINES WITHOUT HOLDING A VALID CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION ISSUED BY THE COMMITTEE AND APPROVED BY THE SECRETARY OF HEALTH;
