๐ŸŽ‰ Founders Day 2025 hit different this year. Wrapped in our colorful Cordilleran attire, every dance felt like a weave of emotions by the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mt. Province.

As the sound of the gongs faded, that familiar mix of joy and "ouch-this-is-the-last-time" hit us hard. It's time to say goodbye to those who have stayed. Let the others continue what has been started. So many memories. So many faces we wonโ€™t forget. Iyaman en dakayo am-in

Hereโ€™s to the moments that made us feel at ease, ones weโ€™ll carry long after the beat of the gongs go out. ๐Ÿž๏ธโค๏ธโœจ

๐ŸŽ‰ CULTURAL ATTIRE ACQUISITION UPDATE ๐ŸŽถ

We are pleased to announce the completion of our first batch of traditional attires, accessories, and instruments as of October 4, 2025. This milestone highlights our continued commitment to preserving and showcasing our rich cultural heritage.

โœจ KALINGA โ€“ Traditional Shirt/Blouse and Accessories
โœจ BENGUET โ€“ Kimbal

๐Ÿ‘• The Kalinga shirt or blouse, known as Silup/Ang-angga, is paired with the Kain (tapis) which often features the classic Ginamet pattern (Gamatโ€“Igamat mo).

๐Ÿ’Ž The Kalinga accessories include the Pilaked/Winayway (cross beads), Dalisdis (choker) โ€” also referred to as Bongor or Funger in some areas โ€” and the Banggayat or Apungot (headdress).

๐Ÿฅ For Benguet, the featured instrument is the Kimbal โ€” long drum crafted from hollowed-out logs with one side covered in deer or cow skin. The Kimbal is slightly shorter than the Solibao, and both are played at an angle or on oneโ€™s side.

This accomplishment serves as a reminder of our unity in diversity and the importance of sustaining indigenous craftsmanship for generations to come.
