On October 28, 2024, we concluded National Mental Health Month with immense gratitude and pride for our entire school community.
Throughout the month, students and staff participated in a variety of activitiesโsuch as a Photo Booth, Chalk Art, Freedom Wall, and Live Bandโas well as interactive stations, including Brochure, Self-Affirmation, and โShare a Quoteโ areas. Each of these activities was designed to raise awareness, foster understanding, build resilience, encourage openness about mental health, and break the stigma surrounding it. These initiatives aimed to create a supportive and compassionate environment for our students.
In addition to these activities, we organized contests for different grade levels, with certificates and prizes awarded during the culmination event:
โข Grade 7: Poster-making contest themed โMangagait Tako; Magay Natnatken, Mansisinakit Tako,โ won by Stefano B. Monongyao of 7A
โข Grade 8: Slogan-making contest focused on โHow to Promote a Safe/Friendly Environment,โ won by Shantal F. Mangsi of 8D

Thank you to our school stakeholders and everyone who helped make this month a success. Although National Mental Health Month has ended, our commitment to mental wellness remains strong. Letโs continue to support one another, encourage open conversations, and remember that mental health matters every day. ๐๐

Mental Health Myths and Misconceptions: DEBUNKED.
Enough stigmas. It's time to listen and accept the facts.
Mental health problems are REAL. No, it is not a figment of our wild thoughts and imaginations. It is not switch that we can conveniently turn on and off whenever we want to. And it is DEFINITELY NOT something that we should ignore and push aside for the sake of maintaining our safety bubble. Optimism can only do so much, but taking action and seeking support can pave the way to true healing and growth.
