BSU 2nd Hardhatting and Pinning Ceremony | "Foundation of Character, Pillars of Excellence"

The BSU Gymnasium was filled with pride and anticipation as the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) BSU Student Chapter held its 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 last April 24, 2026. Under the theme "𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞," the event brought together 3rd and 4th year Civil Engineering students, faculty, and guests for a ceremony that marked a defining moment in every engineer's academic journey.

The program was set in motion with warm and meaningful Welcome Remarks delivered by Engr. Stephen Pacsay, who set the tone for the afternoon with words that resonated deeply with the students in attendance. This was followed by an Inspirational Talk from Engr. Jacob T. Saytoc, whose message of perseverance, professional integrity, and purpose drew an engaged and reflective audience.

The heart of the program unfolded in two ceremonies. The Hardhatting Ceremony honored the 4th year students — a symbolic rite that recognizes their readiness to step closer to the engineering profession. The Pinning Ceremony, held for the 3rd year students, served as a reminder of the responsibilities and values they are called to uphold as future civil engineers. Both ceremonies were led by faculty and guest speakers who pinned and hatted each student with great pride.

The afternoon concluded with acknowledgement remarks from PICE-BSU SC President Christian C. Ymana, and closing remarks by Engr. Alvin C. Dulay. The event was masterfully hosted by Christian Ymana and Jasmine Ramirez.

It was more than a ceremony — it was a call to carry the hardhat and pin not just as symbols, but as a lifelong commitment to excellence, character, and service.

The BSU Gymnasium was filled with pride and anticipation as the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) BSU Student Chapter held its 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 last April 24, 2026. Under the theme "𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞," the event brought together 3rd and 4th year Civil Engineering students, faculty, and guests for a ceremony that marked a defining moment in every engineer's academic journey.

The program was set in motion with warm and meaningful Welcome Remarks delivered by Engr. Stephen Pacsay, who set the tone for the afternoon with words that resonated deeply with the students in attendance. This was followed by an Inspirational Talk from Engr. Jacob T. Saytoc, whose message of perseverance, professional integrity, and purpose drew an engaged and reflective audience.

The heart of the program unfolded in two ceremonies. The Hardhatting Ceremony honored the 4th year students — a symbolic rite that recognizes their readiness to step closer to the engineering profession. The Pinning Ceremony, held for the 3rd year students, served as a reminder of the responsibilities and values they are called to uphold as future civil engineers. Both ceremonies were led by faculty and guest speakers who pinned and hatted each student with great pride.

The afternoon concluded with acknowledgement remarks from PICE-BSU SC President Christian C. Ymana, and closing remarks by Engr. Alvin C. Dulay. The event was masterfully hosted by Christian Ymana and Jasmine Ramirez.

It was more than a ceremony — it was a call to carry the hardhat and pin not just as symbols, but as a lifelong commitment to excellence, character, and service.
