Election is a hallmark of democracy, and democracy requires the participation of the demos or the people.
As the election day comes nearer to select who will seat in the highest governing body of the students and represent them, active participation and pakikialam is important. While we may have a lone lineup, choosing to vote or to abstain matters. Either way, your choice is part of the process.
Come join us as we listen to our candidates in their Miting de Avance online this afternoon of August 21, and let us pass our judgement if we see them fit to serve as we cast our votes on August 24-25.

As the student representative of the College of Social Sciences, the CSS-Student Government extends its warmest and heartful gratitude to every person instrumental in making sure our students are safe and have adequate supplies for their basic necessities during this rainy and humid climate.
We would like to thank everyone who has donated in-kind or in cash. Your donations in-kind of clothes, food, and hygiene kits have been helpful for our beneficiaries, and your financial help allowed us not only to increase our relief supplies but to also render digital assistance for those in need. We also appreciate Ace Laundry for catering BSU students despite limited finances by offering lowered prices for students who wish to wash and dry their laundry given the weather conditions.
We had hoped for better weather these past few days. But with the rains continuing, along with class suspensions and work-from-home arrangements, we are still affected. Our Donation Drive remains open.
Thank you for the love, support, and effort behind this initiative. Nagdakkel unay nga banag iti panagparabur yu kadagiti kasapulan dagiti pada mi nga estudyante. Gapus dagitoy ket adu iti natulungan tayo nga maseknan nangruna iti kastoy a panawen. Sala-salamat! โจ

As the College of Social Sciences transitions to a new semester, we also mark the conclusion of our Deanโs term, which spanned from January 2022 to July 2022, and August 2023 to August 2026. We extend our gratitude to ๐บ๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ. ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐. for his leadership as the College of Social Sciences (CSS) Dean for more than three years.
We highly recognize the support and guidance he provided to our organization, the Soksay community, and the broader university network. Thank you, Sir, for the commitment you demonstrated throughout your tenure. We are deeply grateful for your service that extended far beyond teaching and academics.
Thank you for spearheading numerous initiatives and for always backing our growing college. Even in your pursuit of the university presidency, your dedication never wavered. Though that path did not open, we witnessed firsthand your work and advocacy for the enrichment of culture, history, and with our discipline as a whole.
As you conclude this chapter, we wish you the best in all your future endeavors.

Todayโs youth live in two worlds at once: we get to enjoy the warmth of being young while also carrying the weight of growing up. Young people are busy nurturing talents, studying in school, and holding on to big dreams. At the same time, they are finding their voices, questioning what doesnโt make sense, and learning lessons that no classroom can teach.
But we cannot forget this truth. Not all young people start from the same place. Some are denied basic rights, while others are still working hard just to keep pace.
So, the job is clear. May we support them in every pursuit, because the future rests in their hands. May we build communities where opportunities are real and accessible so they can find space to thrive.
Youth are called the hope of the nation, and that hope grows when we give them space to experience and lead.

As of now, a week's worth of face-to-face classes has been suspended due to the weather brought by Tropical Storm Maymay and the habagat season. However, the students are still having concerns about strong winds and floods, electricity and Internet interruptions, blocked roads, and other matters that may affect their learning experiences and outcomes.
Hence, it is important for the students to be consulted on their current state and their capability to participate in classes and learning by extension. With that, the responses of this sensing form will be forwarded to the administration and guide them in crafting policies that are amenable and acceptable to the student body going forward.
