A meaningful and inspiring celebration marked the Criminology Week Kick-Off, Community Immersion Training Closing, and Indigenous Thanksgiving at IPA Hall , Benguet State University. November 22, 2025.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the barangays of Bahong, Balili, Betag, Cruz, Poblacion, Pico, Puguis, and Wangal for warmly accepting our interns and allowing them to learn, serve, and immerse themselves in your communities. Your appreciation for the studentsโ performance and your positive feedback reaffirm the value of community partnership in shaping future public servants. Thank you for trusting our students and recognizing their contributions during their immersion.
We were also honored by the unexpected yet meaningful visit of Former BSU President Felipe Saling Comila, PBGen. Cornelio P. Comila (Ret.), and other distinguished guests, whose presence added honor and inspiration to this gathering.
Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to our Guest Speaker Representative, Mr. John Rey N. Macasieb, for delivering an encouraging message that highlighted the resilience and strength we have shown throughout our journey in BSUโhow we adapted, endured, and overcame challenges as aspiring criminologists.
We likewise acknowledge Gretchen Gaye C. Ablaza PhD for her inspiring words, reminding us of the value of perseverance, integrity, and purpose as we continue to grow academically and professionally.
A special moment was sparked by BGen. Comila (Ret.), who encouraged us to persevere and continuously pursue opportunitiesโespecially by applying to various academies and uniformed service institutions, reminding us that persistence is key to achieving our calling.
To everyone who shared their time, guidance, and supportโour barangay partners, speakers, guests, faculty, and studentsโthank you for making this event meaningful and empowering. Together, we move forward with renewed motivation, strengthened community ties, and a deeper commitment to public service
