This is the very concept of our school's Project HeRRO - to strengthen character building among our learners. Ctto.

OUR VALUE EMPHASIS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2026 THE HERO INSIDE OF YOU
On August 31, 2026, we shall be observing National Heroes Day. We remember the Filipinos who gave their courage, their talents, their time, and even their lives for our country.
We remember heroes like José Rizal, who used his mind and his pen to awaken a nation. We remember Andrés Bonifacio, who dared to fight for freedom. We remember countless men and women whose names may never appear in our textbooks—but whose sacrifices helped give us the Philippines we have today.
But, what if heroism is not only something we remember from the past?
What if heroism is something you can practice today?
You may say, "But I'm only a student. Is there something I can possibly do?"
The answer is - you can be a hero in your classroom.
When you refuse to cheat even when everyone else is doing it—that's character.
When you assist a discouraged classmate who is always left out—that's kindness.
When you stand up for someone being bullied—that's courage.
When you do your best even when nobody is checking—that's integrity.
You can also be a hero at home.
When you help your parents without being asked...
When you respect your grandparents...
When you take care of your younger brother or sister...
When you say, "I'm sorry," even when your pride tells you not to...
All those may seem like small things.
But remember:
Great character is built through small choices repeated every day.
And you can be a hero in your community.
Pick up the trash even if that isn't yours.
Help someone who needs you.
Protect the environment.
Use social media to encourage rather than destroy.
Speak the truth.
Treat people with dignity—even those who cannot give you anything in return.
You don't need a cape. Remember, not all heroes wear capes.
You don't need to be famous.
You don't need thousands of followers or likes.
You simply need the courage to do what is right when doing what is right is not always easy.
Our national heroes asked themselves, "What can I do for my country?"
Today, perhaps the question for us is:
"What kind of Filipino am I becoming?"
Because someday, you will leave Cordillera Regional Science High School.
You will become professionals, teachers, engineers, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, parents, leaders, and citizens.
And when that day comes, the world will not only ask what you know.
It will ask what kind of person you are.
So here is the challenge to every Cordi Sci learner:
Be a hero in your classroom.
Be a hero in your home.
Be a hero in your community.
Choose honesty when cheating is easier.
Choose kindness when cruelty is popular.
Choose courage when silence is comfortable.
Choose responsibility when excuses are easier.
And choose to serve—not because someone is watching, but because it is the right thing to do.
Our heroes gave their lives so that we could have a better tomorrow.
Now it is our turn to give something back.
You may not be able to change the entire Philippines today.
But you can change one person's day.
You can help one family.
You can improve one classroom.
You can make one community better.
And sometimes, that's how heroism begins.
So when you look at the person beside you today, remember:
The next Filipino hero may not be standing in a history book.
The next Filipino hero may be sitting or standing right there.
And that hero...
could be YOU.

As we uphold the cherished virtues of CRSHS, and in steadfast alignment with the vision, mission, and mandate of the Department of Education, we call upon everyone to embrace and embody the value of RESILIENCE — becoming individuals who rise above challenges with strength, courage, and purpose. This will be our value emphasis for the month of July 2026

Every month thereafter, we place emphasis on one value, and make it our lifestyle for the whole month, and beyond.

-------------
Our Value for the Month of July: RESILIENCE
This month, our value emphasis is RESILIENCE.
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines resilience as the ability to recover from or adjust easily to difficulties, misfortune, or change. Simply put, resilience is the ability to get back up after you fall, to keep moving forward when life doesn't go as planned, and to face challenges with courage instead of giving up.
Let's be honest—life isn't always easy. We all experience failures, disappointments, mistakes, and unexpected setbacks. You may fail a quiz, lose a competition, face rejection, or struggle with something that seems impossible. Those moments can be discouraging, but they don't have to define you.
The real question is this: When life knocks you down, will you stay down, or will you choose to rise again?
Here at CRSHS, we spend a lot of time learning concepts, solving equations, conducting research, writing essays, and preparing for examinations. These are all valuable skills that help develop your mind. But beyond the classroom, life will test something even more important.
The world doesn't reward people simply because they earned the highest grades. It rewards those who keep going when things become difficult. The people who succeed are often the ones who refuse to quit, who learn from their failures, and who keep trying until they succeed.
That is what resilience looks like.
Resilience isn't about having a comfortable life. It's about having the courage to stand again after you've fallen. It's about turning failures into lessons, challenges into opportunities, and setbacks into stepping stones for growth.
So the next time you fail a test, lose a game, make a mistake, or feel like everything is going against you, don't ask, "Why is this happening to me?" Instead, ask yourself, "What can I learn from this?" or "What's my next step?"
Remember, resilience isn't about avoiding life's storms. It's about learning how to grow stronger because of them.
Your education prepares your mind, but resilience prepares you for life. Life will ask more of you than any classroom ever can. When that moment comes, be ready—not because life is easy, but because you have learned to persevere.
This July, let us make RESILIENCE more than just our value of the month. Let it become a daily habit. Keep moving forward. Keep believing. Keep growing.
Fall seven times. Rise eight.
