𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒂𝒚! 🌍
This Earth Day, we are reminded of our shared responsibility to take action in protecting and preserving our environment.
Over the years, student‑grantees of the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED‑CAR) have actively participated in various greening initiatives through Project SAGIP. Project SAGIP, or Scholars and Grant Beneficiaries’ Action in Greening Initiatives Program, is a regional project designed to ensure the participation of tertiary education students—particularly those benefiting from government‑funded scholarships and grants‑in‑aid—in environmental rehabilitation efforts.
Under the project, student‑grantees are mandated to plant at least one fruit‑bearing or native tree for every academic year that they enjoy their scholarship or grant. To date, more than 10,000 trees have been planted through the collective efforts of the student‑grantees under the project.
This year, the initiative was further strengthened through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement among CHED‑CAR, DENR‑CAR, and DA‑CAR, reinforcing inter‑agency collaboration toward sustainable environmental stewardship.
Through Project SAGIP, CHED‑CAR continues to nurture student-grantee who are also environmentally conscious and socially responsible citizens.
Happy Earth Day! 🌱

Students of PCM, please take the survey. Thank you.
Pursuant to MOED No. 635, s. 2026, CHED encourages all Higher Education Institutions and students to support the Student Rapid Survey on Flexible Learning During the Energy Crisis.
This initiative aims to gather students’ experiences and assess the accessibility, appropriateness, and viability of flexible learning arrangements amid the ongoing energy crisis. The results will help guide timely policy and operational responses for the higher education sector.
We invite all students in the Cordillera Region to participate and make your voices heard.
