Benguet National High School actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026, by conducting the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” earthquake safety procedure among learners and school personnel before the scheduled break time. The activity was strategically conducted to ensure that learners’ instructional time was not disrupted, in adherence to the implementation of the mandated instructional block.
The short but meaningful drill served as a reminder of the importance of preparedness and proper response during earthquake situations and other unforeseen emergencies. By practicing the correct safety procedure, learners and personnel were allowed to develop awareness and confidence in what actions to take when an actual earthquake occurs.
BNHS continues to support disaster preparedness initiatives as part of its commitment to providing a safe and secure learning environment. Regular participation in activities such as the NSED helps strengthen the school community’s readiness, minimize risks, and promote a culture of safety among everyone.

In preparation for the opening of the instructional block on June 15, 2026, teachers of Benguet National High School conducted grade-level meetings to discuss updates on classroom structures, lesson planning, and the final list of learners per section. The meetings also served as a venue for sharing important reminders and guidelines related to classroom management, school policies, and instructional preparations. Through collaborative planning and coordination, teachers aligned their efforts to ensure a smooth, organized, and productive start to School Year 2026–2027.

Benguet National High School conducted a Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session entitled “𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐩𝐬: 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞-𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬” attended by Master Teachers and Department Heads. During the session, the results of the Performance Assessment of Standards and Skills (PASS) Test, Division Achievement Test (DAT), and Regional Achievement Test (RAT) were presented and analyzed to identify learners' strengths, performance gaps, and priority areas for improvement. The assessment data served as the basis for developing strategic interventions and action plans for School Year 2026–2027.

Under the leadership of the School Principal, 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐎. 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲-𝐨𝐧, participants emphasized the importance of using accurate data to guide instructional supervision and decision-making. Through collaborative planning, Master Teachers and Department Heads identified appropriate technical assistance and support mechanisms for teachers to address learning gaps effectively. By ensuring that interventions are evidence-based and responsive to learner needs, the school aims to strengthen teaching practices and improve academic performance, ultimately benefiting all learners.

The “𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐭” 𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 is an outreach initiative of the Regional Internal Affairs Service-Cordillera Administrative Region Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (RIAS-CAR RAGPTD) aimed at helping students meet school grooming requirements for enrollment.

Led by PCol Fabiano B. Sudario Jr., RIAS-CAR Director, together with his staff, the team visited the school on May 26, 2029, to oversee the ongoing implementation of the program. The activity, initiated through the efforts of Ms. Ellengy S. Bolidi, has already provided free haircut services to nearly a hundred students since it started on May 25. Beyond assisting learners in complying with school policies, the program also encourages discipline, boosts self-confidence, and strengthens community support for education.

Categoriy B (Grade 10 completers from public junior high schools except those in ALS or PEPT, belonging to poor to middle-middle) and Category D (Grade 10 completers who are ESC grantees) learners are required to apply directly to a Senior High School (SHS) participating in the SHS Voucher Program (SHS VP) in SY 2026-2027.

For learners under Category E (Non-ESC, Grade 10 completers from private schools), application is through the Online Voucher Application Portal (ovap.peac.org.ph).

In observance of 𝐄𝐢𝐝’𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐡𝐚 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, there will be 𝐍𝐎 𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 on the said date. Enrollment will resume on May 28, 2026.
