On November 7, 2025, the future Nutritionist-Dietitians proudly donned their white coats and pinned their nameplate at Hotel Veniz, Session Road, marking a significant milestone in their professional journey. 🤍

This symbolic ceremony celebrates the students’ transition from the classroom to the clinical field, a commitment to uphold the values of competence, compassion, and integrity in promoting health and nutrition.

Ms. Dafhney Marwy Joy O. Ligligan joined the Nutrition Olympics held on October 15,2025 at the Benguet Sports Complex as one of the judges together with BSND graduates of the Department including Mr. Mark Anthony Garcia, Ms. Frenzel Bauding, Ms. Mary Joyce Tayaban-Delfin, and Ms. Jemimah Faith Balawag, alongside with Ms. Carlie Bagaforo.

The event, organized by the Provincial Health Office of Benguet as part of the 2025 Universal Health Care Conference, aimed to promote the importance of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles in line with the conference theme, “All Feathers, One Fly: Integrating Systems for a Healthier Benguet.”

Congratulations to the organizers and to all the participants from the different municipalities of Benguet.

The Department of Human Nutrition proudly shares its participation in the “Seminar on the Preparation and Promotion of Proper Nutrition and Effects of Unhealthy Food Intake” held last October 13, 2025, at Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet.

The activity aimed to promote awareness of proper nutrition practices and to discuss the implications of unhealthy food intake, aligned with relevant health and nutrition policies such as DepEd Order No. 13, s. 2017, RA 11037 (Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act), the Asin Law, and the Food Fortification Law.

We are proud to highlight that Ms. Eloisa B. Mensi, one of the faculty members of the Department of Human Nutrition, was invited as the resource speaker for the seminar. Her expertise and dedication to promoting proper nutrition greatly contributed to the success of the event.

The Department extends its appreciation to the organizers and participants for their active engagement and support in advocating for healthier communities.

Today, we celebrate the meaningful journey of our On-the-Job Trainees as they reach the end of their practicum experience.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to team Health (Health 100, Health 101, Health 102, BTW Cafe, Bakeshop, Comissary, and Ecolodge) led by Sir Elmer B. Macalingay for their guidance, mentorship, and support throughout this learning journey of our students. Your generosity in sharing your time and expertise has made a lasting impact on our students’ growth and future careers.

This program marks not an ending, but a new beginning - a celebration of learning, friendship, and achievement.

Interactive Learning Session for BSN students

"Healing Through Nutrition: The Interface of Medical Nutrition Therapy and Nursing Practice," was successfully held on September 19, 2025, via Zoom from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The event brought together experts in Nutrition and Nursing who shared valuable insights on medical nutrition therapy, nutrition screening, and real-world collaboration between nurses and dietitians in patient
care.

August 29, 2025

The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics interns officially began their Supervised Field Practicum (300 hours) in Tublay, Benguet.

This invaluable training experience allows them to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world community settings, preparing them for their future roles as Registered Nutritionist-Dietitians.

Thank you to the Municipality of Tublay, Benguet for opening your doors and allowing our interns to learn, serve, and grow in their professional journey.
