Last February 23, 2026, the Department of Tourism Management successfully conducted the Basic Culinary Knife Cutting Skills Training for 2nd-year students enrolled in TM 102: Agritourism Management.

The activity was held in two batches to ensure quality hands-on learning. The first session (10:00 AM – 12:00 NN) was facilitated by the Department of Hospitality Management, focusing on proper knife safety, grip, and basic cutting techniques. The second session (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM) was facilitated by the Department of Food Technology, highlighting the application of knife skills using fresh agricultural produce in farm-to-table operations.

Through demonstrations and guided practice, students enhanced their culinary competencies and deepened their appreciation of agritourism and farm-to-table concepts.

This successful activity reflects the strong collaboration among departments in delivering meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for our future tourism professionals.

Last February 20, 2026, the 2nd Year Tourism students of Benguet State University gathered at the CHET New Building, 3rd Floor Function Hall for an enriching and informative Food Handling Seminar.

With great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, students warmly welcomed our guest speakers, Ms. Shayanne and Mr. Shatner, who shared valuable knowledge and practical insights on proper food safety and sanitation practices—essential competencies in the tourism and hospitality industry.

This meaningful learning experience was made even more special through the guidance and support of our dedicated course facilitator, Ma’am Kristi Mari Ayangdan, whose encouragement and leadership helped make the seminar a success.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to this wonderful event. May this seminar inspire us all to practice responsible and professional food handling as future tourism professionals!

Last November 7, 2025, the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) 3rd-year students of Benguet State University participated in a Workshop/Seminar on ““𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐒𝐔 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭”” held at the CHET New Building, 3rd floor, Function Hall.

The session was expertly discussed by Sir 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗔. 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗼, whose professional insights greatly enhanced the students’ understanding of research writing and formatting standards. The event was facilitated by ATLASP, together with Ma’am 𝙍𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝘽. 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙨, whose guidance ensured the smooth flow and success of the workshop.

This activity aimed to strengthen the students’ research skills and prepare them for their upcoming thesis journey — fostering academic growth, critical thinking, and scholarly excellence.
