𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀

The College of Natural Sciences successfully held its Annual Student Research Congress, bringing together student researchers to present their research outputs. The congress featured 12 research papers in various fields.

The congress aimed to recognize quality student research and encourage collaboration across areas such as agriculture, aquatic and natural resources, food systems, industry, energy, and emerging technologies. It also provided students the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback by experts coming from different academic institutions.
The presentations were grouped into three categories: Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources; Social Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources; and Food, Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technologies.
For the Social AANR category, the evaluators were Apler J. Bansiong of CTE-BSU, Lynn J. Talkasen of CA-BSU, and Marvin T. Valentin of CE-BSU. The S&T AANR category was evaluated by Reymark C. Ereje of the University of the Philippines Baguio, Nordalyn B. Pedroche of CA-BSU, and Eugene Lorence R. Logatoc of the University of the Philippines Los Baños. The S&T FIEET category was evaluated by Norbert Q. Angalan of Saint Louis University, Lesley Dale G. Umayat of CHET-BSU, and Darwin A. Basquial of CA-BSU.

The winners per category are set to represent the college in the upcoming university student research congress.

• Sleep is now an elective subject.

This week you may encounter:
• sudden interest in praying
• emotional attachment to highlighters
• reading one sentence 14 times
• opening notes just to stare at them

If you can memorize the stages of mitosis, you can survive this one. If bacteria can adapt to harsh environments, so can you. Finals week is not just another obstacle, it is proof of everything you learned, endured, and pushed through. Trust the effort you planted all semester. Now is the time to let it grow. 🌱

To everyone fighting for their GPA and mental stability simultaneously - Do your best. May your guesses be educated, your essays be accepted, and your scantron be blessed. 🧬📚🔬

This week-long initiative aims to support our local farmers by providing them with a platform to directly market their fresh, locally grown produce. A variety of agricultural products including potatoes, cabbages, and tomatoes will be available for purchase.

By supporting this activity, you are helping ensure that our farmers receive fair returns for their hard work and dedication. Your participation contributes to strengthening local livelihoods and promoting sustainable community support.

We encourage everyone to visit, bring friends and colleagues, and take part in this meaningful cause, because supporting our farmers is supporting life itself.
