Honoring Our Guiding Lights

As the year 2025 unfolds, we pause to celebrate one of the most significant days in our calendar: Teachers' Day. This is a time not just to acknowledge the people who stand in front of a classroom, but to truly recognize the silent architects of our future, the mentors who shape our lives far beyond the confines of textbooks and lectures.
Teachers are the steadfast candles that burn themselves to illuminate our path forward. They are with us from the first day we step into school, offering a guiding hand as we learn the alphabet, to our graduation, and beyond. Their influence is profound, extending to the very core of our character. They instill in us not only knowledge but also crucial life lessons, nurturing qualities like curiosity, resilience, and the critical thinking skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the world.

On this Teachers' Day, let us remember the individual moments of growth they fostered. Perhaps it was the teacher who patiently explained a difficult concept, the one who offered encouragement during a moment of doubt, or the mentor whose belief in our abilities reignited our determination. These are the true gifts that teachers bestowβ€”gifts of knowledge, wisdom, and the confidence to pursue our dreams.

As we celebrate the dedication and hard work of educators, we should not limit our appreciation to a single day. Instead, let us carry the spirit of this occasion into our daily interactions. By showing continued respect, gratitude, and a commitment to lifelong learning, we honor the invaluable contributions of teachers to our personal growth and to the future of our society. Happy Teachers' Day to all those who dedicate their lives to guiding and inspiring us.

The aftermath of Typhoon Nando caused significant damaged to the school and surrounding area. The heavy rain and strong winds led to the flooding of the school ground, the water could not drain properly into the outlet. This caused the entire area to be submerged in water, making it difficult for pupils and teachers to move around safely.

Two classrooms, specifically the rooms for Grades 1 and 2, were also flooded. The water seeped into the rooms. The storm's powerful winds blew away one of the school’s windows, leaving it shattered.
Fallen branches and twigs scattered all over the ground, creating a messy and hazardous environment. The ground itself became muddy and slippery, adding to the challenges of cleaning up. Typhoon Nando left a trail of destruction, but it also brought the community together to restore hand in hand the destruction caused by typhoon Nando.
