𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗛 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 | 𝗗𝗔𝗬 1 🎭

The Math Carnival exploded into life on its first day, the air buzzing with excitement! A wave of numbers and creativity filled the hall, marking the start of a celebration of math's beauty and challenges. Alongside the carnival's fun, two thrilling competitions sparked everyone's competitive spirit: the eye-catching poster-making contest and the tricky Rubik's Cube challenge.

The walls became a math art gallery during the poster contest, each piece showing off the students' clever ideas and love for math. From bright, swirling patterns to complex shapes, the posters showed how many ways math can be art. Meanwhile, the Rubik's Cube area was a blur of fast hands and quick thinking. Fingers zipped, colors changed, and the clicking of cubes made a focused rhythm.

You could feel the tension as the Rubik's Cube players faced off, each determined to solve the puzzle. After a stunning display of quick minds and super-fast moves, the winners were announced. Raydan Magbanua earned a well-deserved third place with his steady skills. The competition heated up as Justin Cabalhin took second place with his amazing speed and accuracy. But the day belonged to one amazing person, a true Rubik's Cube master. With lightning speed and total focus, Rhonel Madera won, becoming the Rubik's Cube champion and leaving everyone amazed. The crowd cheered loudly, celebrating the skill and hard work of these math stars. The first day of the Math Carnival promised a week full of fun, learning, and the joy of discovering math

𝐓𝐡𝐞 25𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫

As the chilly wind whispered through the trees, the laughter of children ringing across the streets, signaled the arrival of Christmas. The season of giving that many Filipinos have awaited, a time for a heartfelt celebration. However, as we enjoy ourselves during these festivities there are those who suffer from the devastating effects of the volcanic eruption. As we slept soundly on our soft and comfortable mattress, there are those who stay wide awake thinking what may happen to their home. We, as Filipinos must not turn a blind eye to those who are in need of help.

Together, let's hear the sound of bells with a smile gracing our lips, knowing that we have helped give relief to those who are in distress. Let's offer the evacuees a 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒉𝒕. Together we'll fulfill the essence of Christmas by sharing. May your blessings overflow and reach those who are in need. May we all receive the grace of the Lord.

On December 11, 2024, the Mathematics Society, in collaboration with the dedicated Mathematics Department teachers, organized a compassionate 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑚 to 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡 the displaced individuals affected by the recent eruption of Mt. Kanlaon. This heartwarming initiative aimed to provide much-needed nourishment and comfort to the evacuees during these challenging times. Let's ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑝 𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 get up on our feet. Let this be a 𝑠𝑖𝑔𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑠. With you and me together, we'll overcome any challenge. Let's stand on equal ground with united spirits, support one another, and become stronger than any trials we have faced.

When there’s a 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒎, there must be a 𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, right? Find your people and form a 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑏𝑦 𝑔𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑝, fight the obstacles, and find the answers together in the 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐁𝐞𝐞! There will be 𝑛𝑜 𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑, and the group with the highest score will earn a merit! Way to go, 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑠! The venue will be the 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒍 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. See you there!
