PUBLIC ADVISORY

The City Government of La Carlota is advising all residents to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities following the recent volcanic activity of Mount Kanlaon.

Please observe the following safety measures:
1.) Stay Inside Your Homes. Avoid exposure to volcanic ash and fumes which may cause respiratory and eye irritation.

2.) Close All Windows and Doors. Use damp cloths or towels to seal gaps and prevent ash from entering your homes.

3.) Wear Masks or Cloth Coverings. If you must go outside, wear N95 masks or cover your nose and mouth with a damp cloth.

4.) Avoid Drinking Water from Open Sources. Ensure that water for drinking and cooking is clean and covered.

5.) Keep Livestock and Pets Indoors or in sheltered areas away from ashfall.

6.) Stay Updated. Monitor official advisories from the City Government of La Carlota, CDRRMO, PHIVOLCS, and PIA through verified social media pages and radio announcements.

7.) Be Prepared to Evacuate. If advised by authorities, cooperate immediately and proceed to designated evacuation centers.

This is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of all Mangkasanon. Let us remain calm, alert, and united as we continue to monitor the situation closely.

🩵 BKD Awareness Talk 2025 🩵
In support of One Health Week 2025, the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) officers of San Miguel National High School conducted an Awareness Talk to promote health, safety, and drug-free living among students. 💬✨

The session aimed to educate and empower learners to make responsible choices, understand the risks of substance abuse, and strengthen their commitment to a healthier, safer community. 🌿💪

We extend our gratitude to the subject teachers and advisers for allowing this meaningful discussion inside their classrooms and for supporting our advocacy toward a Drug-Free School and Community! 🙌
