Leadership is never measured solely by authority or titles. Sometimes, its truest form reveals itself in the quiet ability of one person to become strength for the weary, hope for the discouraged, and light for those silently enduring difficult days.โ€

Happy Birthday, Maโ€™am Maci. ๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽ‰

Within the ever-moving rhythm of Governor Sergio B. Morales National High School, where responsibilities are endless and challenges often arrive unannounced, you have become far more than the school head who guides this institution. You became the steady heart that continuously holds people together even during moments when exhaustion, pressure, and uncertainty threaten to consume them. What makes your leadership deeply extraordinary is not merely the position you carry, but the humanity with which you carry it. In a world where leadership is too often associated with distance and authority, you chose compassion, understanding, and sincerity. You remained gentle in situations that could have hardened anyone else. You listened even when your own burdens were already heavy. You continued extending warmth to people despite the countless responsibilities resting quietly upon your shoulders. And perhaps that is why your presence leaves such a profound imprint on this community because genuine leadership is never forgotten by the hearts it has comforted. Long after deadlines are met and ordinary days pass, people will remember how you made them feel valued, heard, protected, and inspired during seasons when they needed it most.

And so today, this greeting carries more than celebration. It carries the collective gratitude of a community whose lives have been shaped, comforted, and strengthened by the kind of leader you chose to become. Thank you for every silent sacrifice hidden behind composed smiles, for every moment you continued standing strong for others even when life itself had already become exhausting, and for every act of kindness that reminded this school that leadership rooted in empathy still exists. There are battles people survived because your encouragement gave them courage. There are burdens that became lighter simply because your presence made others feel they were not alone. If only you could see yourself through the eyes of the people whose lives you have quietly touched, you would realize that your impact extends far beyond administration or leadership because you became one of the souls that gave this institution its sense of warmth, dignity, and hope. May God return to your heart every comfort you have selflessly given to others, and may life become infinitely gentler to the person who has spent so much of herself uplifting everyone around her. Happy Birthday, Maโ€™am Maci. Some leaders are respected for what they accomplished, but leaders like you become unforgettable because of the lives they healed, inspired, and carried with grace along the way.

As South Cotabato celebrates its 60th Foundation Anniversary, we honor the life and legacy of the late Dr. Sergio B. Morales, the provinceโ€™s first Governor and the first doctor of Koronadal City.

More than a leader and public servant, Dr. Morales and his family left a lasting gift to the community through the donation of the school site of Governor Sergio B. Morales National High School in Purok Bulak, Barangay Paraiso, Koronadal City. Because of this generous act, countless students from nearby communities were given greater access to education, hope, and opportunities for a better future.

What once was simply a piece of land has become a place where dreams are nurtured, lives are transformed, and young minds are prepared to become future leaders of society. Through the years, the school has stood as a symbol of the Morales familyโ€™s commitment to uplifting the lives of the youth and empowering generations through education.

On the 32nd anniversary of his passing, the memory of Dr. Sergio B. Morales continues to live onโ€”not only in the history of South Cotabato, but also in every learner who walks through the halls of the school that proudly bears his name. His legacy of service, compassion, and generosity remains an inspiration to all. May he continue to rest in eternal peace.
