The KNCHS Recorder

As part of the 2025 Regional Search for Most Functional Libraries, the Koronadal National Comprehensive High School (KNCHS) Library underwent an on-site evaluation last October 13, 2025. Regional evaluators visited the school to assess its facilities, management, and services as part of the competition’s on-site judging phase. This activity is spearheaded by the Department of Education – SOCCSKSARGEN Region through the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD) as a regional mechanism in support of the Department’s reading enhancement program outlined in DM No. 001, s. 2024, and the establishment of functional libraries under DO No. 56, s. 2011. These initiatives form part of the Regional Educational Development Plan (RDEP) 2023–2028, which aims to strengthen school libraries as centers of literacy and lifelong learning. During the evaluation, the KNCHS Library showcased its best practices in promoting literacy, digital access, and research engagement—reflecting its commitment to creating an enriching learning environment for its students.
