𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 | The University of the Philippines Manila School of Health Sciences Extension Campus in South Cotabato warmly welcomes its newest scholars! The 3-day freshmen orientation was a resounding success, filled with learning, camaraderie, and inspiration.

The orientation kicked off on Day 1 with sessions focused on Getting to Know the School and understanding the mission and values that guide us in serving with heart and humility. Day 2 centered on Getting to Know Me and Others, which included an insightful discussion on self-awareness, engaging activities, and fun games with DM 12 and BSN 7 that strengthened bonds among students. Finally, Day 3 brought jolting moments of inspiration through motivational messages from the senior students of DM 11, DM 10, and BSN 6, leaving everyone motivated and ready to embrace the journey ahead.

A heartfelt thank you to all the freshmen for making the event memorable and enjoyable. We are proud to introduce the Diploma in Midwifery Batch 12 with 26 students and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Batch 7 with 14 students, as we embrace the spirit of service, community, and humility that binds us all in our journey to serve our nation’s health care needs.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT | 42nd Student Regent Nominee

After the recently held university-wide deliberations, the University Committee officially ENDORSES Alec Xavier Miranda as the 42nd Student Regent Nominee of UP Manila.

The Student Regent is the lone voice of the student body in the UP Board of Regents — our strongest link in forwarding the interests and struggles of the UP community.

All SR nominees will be attending the 59th General Assembly of Student Councils (GASC), where one will be selected as the 42nd Student Regent of the University of the Philippines.

After careful deliberations, the Search Committee for the 42nd Student Regent of UP Manila School of Health Sciences in Palo, Leyte 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝐒𝐑 𝐍𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐜 𝐗𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐄. 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 from the College of Medicine. He was able to secure all 8 votes of the search committee members present in the deliberations.

If the endorsement goes uncontested, Miranda will be the official SR nominee of the UP Manila School of Health Sciences in Palo, Leyte and will go through a rigorous selection process during the General Assembly of Student Council this coming August 7-9 at UP Los Baños.
