Today, August 21, 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 "𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲" 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫. As a leading voice against dictatorship, Ninoy devoted his life to standing up for civil liberties, truth, and democratic principles. His return to the Philippines in 1983 and his martyrdom served as the catalyst that ignited the nation's passion for freedom, culminating in the peaceful 1986 People Power Revolution. 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐲𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

This August 15, we celebrate Mary’s Assumption into Heaven—a reminder of God’s triumph, and that love and life are stronger than death. May Mary continue to inspire us to live with faith, humility, and love.

Isang bagong buwan, isang panibagong pagkakataon upang higit na ipagdiwang ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa.

Sa bawat paggamit ng ating sariling wika at pagpapahalaga sa kulturang Pilipino, patuloy nating pinananatiling buhay ang ating pagkakakilanlan. Sapagkat ang wikang Filipino ang nagbubuklod sa ating kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkatao. Kaya’t patuloy natin itong gamitin, mahalin, at ipagmalaki—ngayong Agosto at sa bawat araw.

Another year, another masterpiece of culture and unity, the curtains may be closing on the Tnalak Festival, but the legacy of our heritage lives on. Tnalak Festival acts as a living tapestry much like the cloth it is named after weaving together the history, struggles, and triumphs of the people of South Cotabato. Until we meet again under the vibrant hues of the Tnalak.
