The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) proudly announces the appointment of Brenda M. Balala, MIT, as Peer Reviewer of the journal. She will serve in the fields of Educational Technology, Assessment, and Computing Education Research, contributing to the journal's mission of advancing rigorous, ethical, and multidisciplinary scholarly research.

Ms. Balala is an Associate Professor at the College of Engineering, Architecture and Computing of Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) and a Doctor of Information Technology candidate at AMA University, Philippines. Her academic work centers on educational technology, information systems, and computing education, with a strong commitment to advancing innovative teaching, learning, and research practices in higher education.

Her scholarly contributions include research on KPI-driven OJT evaluation frameworks, cloud and analytics convergence in management information systems, graph database modeling in agile systems design, and tracer studies for curriculum enhancement and graduate employability. Her research interests also extend to IT governance, psychometric assessment, business analytics, and digital transformation in higher education.

As a Peer Reviewer of IJROMS, Ms. Balala will contribute to maintaining the journal's standards of quality, integrity, and academic excellence while supporting its vision of Bridging Disciplines, Advancing Knowledge.

The Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST‑NRCP) officially launched the Enhanced Research and Development Leadership to Foster an Inclusive Research Ecosystem (RDLead FIRE) engagement at Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU), through its College of Engineering, Architecture, and Computing (CEAC).

The opening program was graced by the NRCP Executive Director Dr. Brian S. Bantugan who encouraged participants to maximize the RDLead platform as an opportunity to strengthen research excellence and generate meaningful impact. He emphasized that DOST, NRCP, and the RDLead FIRE Program remain committed to supporting NDMU in fostering a vibrant research culture, enhancing institutional research leadership, and advancing innovation‑driven initiatives.

Under the leadership of appointed RD Leader Dr. Febus Reidj G. Cruz, capacity development activities are now underway and will continue until today, July 17, 2026. The program features training sessions on scientific writing, peer review and publication, research proposal development, and research management, complemented by hands‑on workshops designed to transform learning into tangible research outputs and strengthen the university’s research capabilities.

This RDLead engagement is implemented through the RDLead FIRE Program with support from the DOST Grants‑in‑Aid (GIA) Program.
