This is an important Recognition given to Green Valley College from the recent Gabi ng Parangal 2024 — Only four Higher Education Institutions were given this recognition in Region 12!

For Category B (HEIs with more than 1000 grantees), Green Valley College was recognized for our efficiency, timeliness and consistency in the submission of our billing and validation documents and liquidation reports in compliance with the guidelines of UNIFAST.

Re: ISO 9001:2015 Certification of Green Valley College

This week, we have received the most anticipated good news: Green Valley College is now ISO certified under the 9001:2015 standards as evaluated by Deuzert Germany, a prestigous certification body accredited with DAAKS from Germany. The journey towards achieving this was not easy. Every office and process owner needed to cooperate so that we are able to create and develop the needed documents to comply with the said standards.

But what do we gain from this certification as an academic community? Allow me to highlight a few of the salient points:

1. Being ISO certified, we join the thousands of organizations and institutions which have shown clear commitment to excellence and internationalization.
2. The ISO seal which is placed in the student records will provide the needed confidence by the graduates as their future employers may prefer that their employees come from certified or accredited educational institutions.
3. The ISO certification will create a positive tension for all offices to improve year on year. With the conduct of regular audits, both internal and external, it is inevitable that we sustain growth and continual improvement. This means, it will never be business as usual for all of us.

I fully understand that education is not just about access — something which we have fought for over the years. Equally important as access is the quality of the education. This meant that we needed to make sure that you will really learn so that you will be better prepared for the industry and real world.

My Leaders, I hope that we will be more inspired to continue with what we are doing — championing quality with every process, every office and every person.
