‎The 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲: 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, organized by the Peacebuilders Organization, together with the Center for Peace and Environment/Community Extension Services Office, and 𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 (JPAP), was successfully conducted at Purok Randal, Brgy. Cacub, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

‎This was the second outreach program under the Caravan initiative for the children and the community, as a tribute to NDMU’s 80th founding anniversary.
‎
‎We extend our heartfelt gratitude to 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝑶𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒍𝒖𝒚𝒂𝒏 and 𝑲𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒅 𝑷𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒚 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒍𝒖𝒚𝒂𝒏 for supporting the activity and assisting the student-volunteers in the implementation of the activity.

‎The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful connections. The children played and shared joyful moments with one another and the volunteers. Immersing ourselves in the community allowed us to build genuine connections with its people. 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒚.

‎We left the place carrying memories, warmth, and the 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 that will surely remain in our hearts and minds.

‎As part of NDMU’s 80th Founding Anniversary, the Peacebuilders Organization, together with the Center for Peace and Environment/Community Extension Services Office, successfully conducted the Second 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲: 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 in Talufo, Tboli, South Cotabato.

‎An outreach program which aims to 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆, 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 — 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒚. ‎Student-volunteers were able to interact with the people, especially the children together with their parents and guardians. School supplies were distributed to the students, and clothes were given to their parents and guardians.

‎Special thanks to 𝑴𝒔. 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒊ñ𝒂, 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, for recommending the place and for accompanying the student-volunteers in the success of the activity.
‎
‎It was a touching moment for both the community and the volunteers. Bright smiles were plastered in each and everyone's faces during the program, melting all the exhaustion away was the best part of the activity. And with that short program and interaction, everyone was able to build a connection. As Ma’am Ga stated, “𝑻𝒂𝒏𝒊 𝒔𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒏𝒐𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒌 𝒌𝒂𝒎𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒘𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒓𝒊.” And PBO will surely visit the community again...

‎It was not just a program of assistance, but also a time of realization, a stronger sense of service and compassion for communities and their people.

The 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲: 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 organized by the Peacebuilders Organization together with the Center for Peace and Environment/Community Extension Services Office of NDMU, in line with the 80th Founding Anniversary of Notre Dame of Marbel University, was successfully held in Talufo, Tboli, South Cotabato.

But this was more than just a tree-planting activity. In Talufo, seeds of service were planted in every volunteer’s heart. 𝑨 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒔 𝑻𝒐 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝑩𝑶 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝑴𝒔. 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒊ñ𝒂, for assisting the student-volunteers in conducting the tree planting activity.

We came with one goal: to bring ecological care, peace, hope, and environmental justice to the place and for the people. And we left knowing that even one act of service can create ripples that last.

This event is designed to provide an opportunity for children worldwide to understand
Asian people’s lives through illustrated diaries.
We will invite children from 24 different countries and regions in Asia to draw their illustrated diaries
under the theme of “Here is my Life”.
Why don’t you participate in this event to let friends in Asia know about your life and culture through your three-page illustrated diaries?

Entry Requirements

Each entry should consist of three pages. Each page should contain a picture and a short essay (in English) describing an event of your daily life (use paint, crayons, or other materials on drawing paper).

Format
A4-size (297mm long x 210mm wide) page with margins on all sides, the picture or drawing on the top (two-thirds of the page), and the essay beneath (one third of the page). The picture and the essay should be on the front side of the page. Please do not use the back side.

Eligibility
Children aged 6-12 at the time of entry

Theme
"Here is my life.” Describe any aspects of your daily life, such as family, friends, school life, customs, festivals, town, and people.

Philippines: The names of the award winners will be announced in December, 2026.

This initiative is not only a tribute to NDMU’s 80 years of excellence but also an 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆, 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 to our communities and the environment. Lalarga tayo as we bring hope and service to different communities from 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 15 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 26, 2026.

‎Yesterday, August 1, 2026—the Peacebuilders Organization successfully conducted its first 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 at the 𝗕𝗥𝗖 𝗟𝗼𝗯𝗯𝘆. The gathering warmly welcomed and oriented the organization's new members, introducing them to the mission, vision, and exciting opportunities to serve the community with compassion and commitment.

‎This academic year promises meaningful experiences through various initiatives in community service, community extension, and environmental advocacy. As we officially begin this new journey, we look forward to growing, serving, and making a positive impact together.
