From student leader and campus journalist to public servant and development professional, Atty. Ryan J. Alair, REB continues to embody the Marist values of service, humility, and compassion in his work and leadership.
An alumnus of the NDMU College of Law, Juris Doctor Batch 2023, Atty. Alair currently serves as Outcome Manager and Local Government Operations Officer VII of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sultan Kudarat.
Looking back, he chose Notre Dame of Marbel University not only for its strong academic training but also for its vibrant communal life and values-centered education. During his years as a student, he actively participated in campus life as a student leader and writer for the Omniana Publication, experiences that helped shape his character and broaden his perspective.
For Atty. Alair, Marist education extends beyond academic excellence. It nurtures individuals who are committed to serving others with integrity, humility, and compassion, qualities that continue to guide him in public service today.
His message to current and future Marists is to make the most of their university experience. Participate in activities, build meaningful connections, and embrace opportunities for growth. Guided by the pursuit of quality education rooted in values, Francis Jone B. Bravante, CPA, TCS chose Notre Dame of Marbel University and found more than academic excellence, he found a community that shaped both his professional aspirations and personal values.
An alumnus of the NDMU College of Business Administration, Class of 2010, Francisjone is now the Founder and Owner of FJB Consultancy and Accounting Firm, where he continues to uphold the principles of competence, integrity, and service that he learned during his years at NDMU.
Looking back, he remains grateful for the sense of belonging he experienced on campus, a community where students were encouraged not only to excel academically but also to grow as compassionate, responsible, and culturally appreciative individuals. For him, NDMU provided a space where lifelong friendships were formed, perspectives were broadened, and character was nurtured.
His Marist education continues to influence the way he leads, serves clients, and engages with the community, reminding him that success is measured not only by professional achievements but also by the values one lives out each day.

From a scholar who once dreamed of a better future to a leader serving communities across the country, Reden S. Ulo embodies the Marist spirit of service, humility, and cultural inclusion.
An alumnus of the NDMU College of Arts and Sciences, Class of 1999, Reden currently serves as Commissioner of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and President of Santa Cruz Mission Schools, Inc. (SCMSI).
Looking back on his years at NDMU, he recalls a community that became his home. As an Indigenous student, he found not discrimination, but acceptance; not division, but belonging. He fondly remembers classmates who welcomed him, teachers who nurtured him, and a learning environment that respected every culture and faith.
Through the support of scholarships and the values-centered education he received, NDMU helped shape his commitment to community service and leadership. For him, Marist education is not simply about earning a degree, it is about using one's gifts to serve others.

For more than five decades, Rev. Fr. Leovigildo C. Acierto, CP has faithfully dedicated his life to God's mission, serving 47 years as a Religious Priest and 52 years as a Religious Missionary.
An alumnus of Notre Dame of Marbel University's College of Liberal Arts, Class of 1973, Fr. Acierto credits NDMU for helping shape not only his education but also his vocation, mission, and commitment to proclaiming the Gospel.
Now at the age of 82, he remains actively engaged in ministry, sharing the Word of God through radio, television, and print media, continuing a lifelong mission of evangelization and service.
Reflecting on his journey, Fr. Acierto reminds the Marist community that in a world often marked by self-interest and material pursuits, every person is called to become a light for others through faith, generosity, and service.
His message to current and future Marists is simple yet profound: share your God-given talents generously, serve without counting the cost, and become instruments of hope wherever you are called.

𝟖 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞. 𝟖 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. 🔰

The Peacebuilders Organization proudly celebrates and pays tribute to the long-standing excellence of 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 as it marks its 80𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆. In celebration of this milestone, we carried out the Caravan of Hope across different communities, extending love, care, humility, and respect while carrying with us the Marist spirit and values.

For eight decades, NDMU has been more than an institution—it has become a home to students who strive for excellence, discover their passion for their chosen fields, and grow into professionals who value both competence and service. 𝑰𝒕𝒔 𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, as it continues to shape individuals who understand the importance of lending a hand, embracing differences, and serving communities regardless of culture or status.

As a tribute to NDMU’s growing legacy of excellence, the Peacebuilders Organization, together with the Center for Peace and Environment/Community Extension Services Office along with many different student-led clubs and organizations in NDMU, organized the “𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙚: 𝙀𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚,” bringing care and compassion to various communities.

𝙀𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. From one community to another, from extending assistance to families and children to planting seedlings that symbolize growth, hope, and the continuing efforts of the Marist community in shaping generations of service-oriented individuals.

Regardless of where one comes from, NDMU continues to open its doors to those who dream, strive, and hope for a better future. 𝑯𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊 𝒊𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒈𝒃𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒈-𝒂𝒔𝒂—from providing opportunities through various scholarships to offering quality education that empowers students to become not only professionals, but individuals who are ready to serve.

‎The 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲: 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, organized by the Peacebuilders Organization, together with the Center for Peace and Environment/Community Extension Services Office was successfully conducted at 𝘽𝙧𝙜𝙮. 𝘾𝙚𝙗𝙪𝙖𝙣𝙤, 𝙏𝙪𝙥𝙞, 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙤.

The 8th and final outreach program under the Caravan Initiative was a meaningful Tree-Growing Activity held in celebration of Notre Dame of Marbel University’s 80th Founding Anniversary. 🌱💛💚

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙧𝙜𝙮. 𝘾𝙚𝙗𝙪𝙖𝙣𝙤 and to our 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙝𝙖 𝙍𝙖𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘽.
