When we were children, we believed that the greatest heroes were those who could command the skies, wield mighty swords, or save the world with extraordinary powers. Never realizing that some of them were waiting inside a classroom, carrying nothing more than a piece of chalk, a stack of papers, and a heart willing to teach.

Today, we honor the educators whose work outlives the classroom, not through grand gestures, but through the lives that carry a part of them forward. Long after graduation, their influence lives on in the people their students become, and in all that those students will one day pass on.

The Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges–Marbel Incorporated (RMMC-MI) proudly congratulates Ma’am Angelica R. Ballena, RCrim, CCS, of the College of Criminal Justice, for successfully presenting a faculty research paper at the 14th International Conference on Information and Communication Networks (ICICN) 2026, held in Xi’an, China.

Presented online on September 6, 2026, the research entitled “The Evolution and Intellectual Structure of Cybersecurity Research: A Twenty-Year Bibliometric and Science Mapping Analysis” was presented on behalf of her co-proponents from RMMC-MI and partner institutions, prior to its Scopus publication.

The international presentation highlights RMMC-MI’s continued commitment to supporting faculty research and creating opportunities for its researchers to share relevant and innovative work with the global academic community.
