KCNHS Inducts New SGC Officers, Honors Past Leaders

Kidapawan City National High School formally inducted the new set of School Governing Council (KCNHS-SGC) officers on September 9, 2025, during the inauguration of the school library.

The induction was led by Schools Division Superintendent Miguel P. Fillalan, Jr. CESO V, who also lauded the invaluable contributions of education stakeholders present during the event. Representatives from various sectors—teachers, parents, alumni, and partner institutions—witnessed the ceremony, reflecting the spirit of shared governance in the school.

As part of the program, recognition was given to the outgoing SGC officers and members who served from school year 2022–2025. The school extended its appreciation to Miss Rhoda C. Bacalla, the outgoing SGC Chairperson, for her dedicated service marked by strong leadership, transparency, and active engagement of stakeholders. Her term was highlighted by strengthened partnerships with parents, teachers, and external institutions, ensuring that school programs and projects were effectively implemented for the benefit of the learners. It was also during her leadership that KCNHS-SGC was recognized at the regional level as a Functional School Governance Council during the Pugay Pasasalamat 2024.

In his message, SDS Fillalan commended the school and its partners for their united efforts in sustaining excellence in governance. “The active participation of our stakeholders is a clear demonstration of how shared responsibility ensures success in education,” he remarked.

This year’s SGC is chaired by Ian Leo S. Domingo, PhD, representing the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) sector from the University of Southern Mindanao, Kidapawan City Campus. Domingo, together with the newly inducted officers, pledged to continue the legacy of collaborative leadership and to uphold the school’s commitment to accountability, inclusivity, and educational excellence.

The simultaneous inauguration of the school library and induction of SGC officers underscored KCNHS’s pursuit of innovation and partnership—two key pillars in fostering holistic student development and community empowerment.
