Families in General Santos City are struggling after the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake. The Committee on Election is accepting in-kind donations to help affected families. We may not be able to take away their pain, we can help lighten their burden.

Fun Fact MONDAY ❗❗

Did you know that before the use of biometric scanners and digital databases, Filipino voters were identified through their entire handprints pressed in ink?

Back then, election officials believed that handprints were more reliable than signatures, even though the process took much more time and effort. Over the years, the system evolved from handprints to fingerprints, and now to modern biometric technology that uses digital fingerprints, photos, and signatures.

It's amazing to see how far our electoral process has come. From ink-stained palms to advanced technology, every improvement helps make elections more secure, efficient, and accessible for every Filipino voter.
