𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀

The blend of unwavering desire to use one's voice, mind, and body dominated the whole school as the academic events took place earlier this day, December 4, 2025.

Multiple events were hosted simultaneously including, Quiz bowl, Debate, Oratorical Speech, Spoken Poetry,
the Dramatic Speech Choir—performances that gave the audience goosebumps with every display of talent, as well as many other competitions that showcased the students’ skills and creativity.

This event highlighted not just skill, but passion, teamwork, and dedication. It is a day of inspiration, leaving spectators in awe of the participants' determination.

Villarba Continues Winning Streak in PSQ 2025

The pursuit of data excellence continues for Colegio de Kidapawan (CdK) as freshman Jacob P. Villarba, a BS Information Technology (BSIT-1) student, successfully landed a spot in the top five of the 29th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Provincial Elimination held today October 23, 2025 at Brookside Hotel.

Villarba's impressive finish solidifies the college's growing reputation as a breeding ground for statistical talent, securing its fourth consecutive qualification for the Regional Eliminations in the past three years.

Part of the delegation is Mr. Jason Costan, BS in Nursing -1, who made it to the final round of the eliminations and Mr. Leoje L. Siago, also a BS in Nursing student.

A New Chapter in a Tale of Statistics Whizzes

Villarba now stands as the latest torchbearer for CdK, earning a highly coveted slot to represent the province at the Regional Eliminations set for November 6, 2025, in Koronadal City. His win extends a remarkable winning streak that began with his predecessors.

In the PSQ 2023 Provincial Elimination, CdK showcased a strong performance with two qualifiers: Warren Jade Margaja (BEEd), who placed fifth, and Kenn Lister Saldivar (BSIT), who finished a commendable second place.

The momentum continued into PSQ 2024, where Zaheed Abubakar also clinched second place in the provincial round before going on to achieve an impressive fourth-place finish in the Regional Eliminations.

Eyes on the National Title

With Jacob P. Villarba's recent achievement, CdK’s sustained excellence is poised to claim that elusive Regional Championship title- making way to represent Region XII in the national contest in Manila.

The continuous success of these students emphasize the dedication of both the participants and their coaches in promoting statistical literacy. For Colegio de Kidapawan, Villarba’s qualification is more than just another win; it's a renewed source of hope and inspiration, fueling the collective aspiration to make an impact on the national statistics stage.
