Our Kindergarten learners had fun creating beautiful purple flowers using simple paper-folding and cutting activities! Through folding, cutting, shaping, and assembling paper, our little learners are strengthening their:
-Fine Motor Skills – develops hand and finger muscles and improves hand-eye coordination.
-Focus and Concentration – encourages children to follow steps and stay engaged in the activity.
-Creativity and Imagination – allows them to explore colors, shapes, and their own ideas.
-Problem-Solving Skills – helps them think about how to fold, cut, and put the pieces together.
-Patience and Perseverance – teaches them to keep trying and finish what they started.

At SPMCI-JMCECE, our learners had a wonderful time picking fresh fruits straight from the trees. They were able to see where fruits come from, explore nature, and enjoy the simple joy of harvesting their own food.
This hands-on experience helps children develop curiosity, appreciation for nature, confidence, and a deeper understanding of where our food comes from.

There is something truly special about seeing the excitement on their faces as they carefully pick a fruit and proudly say, “I picked this!”, "It's yummy teacher", " I will bring this at home", and "I will give it to mommy and daddy."

💚🎼Himig-Kalikasan🌿🎶

Himig-Kalikasan is an interactive sound wall designed to spark children's creativity by allowing them to discover different sounds, rhythms, and music through their own exploration.
Built entirely from upcycled and recycled materials—such as plastic bottles, old washbasins, pot lids, and a painted frame—it transforms everyday discarded items into a vibrant playground of sound.
As young children tap, strike, and play with this musical wall, they gain valuable developmental benefits, including enhanced sensory skills, improved hand-eye coordination, and expanded imagination, while also nurturing their musical intelligence (auditory perception and rhythm comprehension) by helping them distinguish pitch, tempo, and patterns.
Beyond musical growth, it instills early lessons in environmental stewardship, teaching kids the importance of recycling and caring for the planet.💚🎼🎶🎵

During our KaliClassan, our learners enjoyed spending time outdoors, feeling the fresh air, touching the grass, and feeling the soil.

For some of our learners, touching soil and grass is not easy because of their sensory sensitivities. Some textures may feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar to them. But what makes this experience truly special is their willingness to try.

One gentle touch.
One curious step.
One brave moment of discovery.

Touching soil is important because it provides opportunities for sensory awareness and emotional well-being.

We do not force every child to touch. We respect their boundaries, celebrate their attempts, and understand that every learner has a different way of experiencing the world.

What may seem like a small moment to others can be a meaningful achievement for a child.

In our KaliClassan, every touch is a step toward discovery, every attempt is worth celebrating, and every learner is given the space to grow at their own pace.
