In pursuit of research-making excellence, the University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan City Campus (USM-KCC) Research and Extension Services Office (RESO) organized a Thesis Writing Orientation for senior students today, August 15, 2025, at the Campus Covered Court.

RESO Director Dhealyn Decee V. Sabit enlightened the students on the campus' student research procedures.

Additionally, College of Technology Research Coordinators Mr. Freddie Rick Jan G. Naparan and Ms. Shiela Mae A. Hortillosa discussed the thesis outline format, parts of thesis outline, thesis defense and fees.

Moreover, Prof. Shara Joy P. Constantinopla introduced the APA citation format and sensitized the senior students on research ethics.

The initiative aimed to provide vital knowledge and insights to effectively and appropriately write a thesis paper while showcasing the institution's dedication towards excellence in the field of research and extension.

Ma'am Carmee recently received a Certificate of Recognition from the University of Southern Mindanao, Kidapawan City Campus, for her outstanding achievement in earning an Excellent rating in the Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR) for the First Semester (January to June 2025).

Her steadfast commitment, high sense of duty, and excellent work ethic have not only improved her own performance but have also contributed greatly to the success and ongoing excellence of the university.

Her efforts have raised the bar of professionalism and service, setting a wonderful example for both her peers and students.

• Detail-oriented, organized, can read and interpret diagrams.
• Capable of assisting with data encoding and compiling of reports.

Rhett Sean P. Pomares recently completed his Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (Pollution Engineering) at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños, Laguna. He is a faculty member of the College of Science and Mathematics under the Chemistry Department, where he teaches General Inorganic Chemistry and Materials Chemistry. Additionally, he serves as an affiliate faculty at USM-Kidapawan City Campus, teaching Physics and Chemistry courses for engineering programs, demonstrating his dedication to advancing education in the sciences and engineering.
