Basically, Wilhem Roentgen named his greatest accidental discovery “𝙄 𝘿𝙊𝙉'𝙏 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒.” 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes! That was his line! Unbelievable, right?! 🙌🏻

In the year 1895, the time that Roentgen discovered the mysterious radiation, he named it 𝗫-𝗿𝗮𝘆𝘀 because 𝑿 symbolizes 𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻. He chose the letter 𝗫 because it is the ultimate expression for an unknown object or something that you don't know.

𝙄 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣, 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙮𝙚𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙨 "𝙐𝙣𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙣"? 😭

However, we should still know the value of the existence of X-Rays especially in today's modern world. Because without it, many lives would still remain unsolved, unseen, and undiscovered. It may be termed as 𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻, but it's purpose goes beyond the term — it has a wide meaning and therefore provides a variety of advantages that definitely saves a countless of lives. 🩻☢️

Here is how they actually work:

🔊 Ultrasound: Uses high-frequency sound waves that bounce off internal organs and tissues to create real-time images—just like echolocation!

🧲 Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Uses strong magnetic fields and radiofrequency pulses to align and flip hydrogen protons in your body's water molecules, producing highly detailed 3D cross-sectional pictures.

Both techniques allow us to capture incredible diagnostic images without exposing patients to ionizing radiation. Understanding these differences helps us deliver safe, precise, and exceptional patient care every day! ✨

However, 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 on a standard X-rays — because standard X-rays are designed to pass through the soft tissues and only capture the bones and other dense internal structures!

They are not used for identification routinely. 🦴
