Fire Prevention Month is observed every March pursuant to Proclamation No. 115-A issued by former President Ferdinand E. Marcos and later strengthened through Proclamation No. 360 in 1986. This nationwide observance highlights the importance of fire safety awareness and prevention.

With the theme “Sa Pag-Iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa!” (In Fire Prevention, You Are Not Alone!), this year’s campaign underscores the power of unity and shared responsibility in preventing fire incidents and reducing their devastating effects. Throughout the month, communities conduct fire drills, safety seminars, inspections, and information drives to promote preparedness and educate the public on practical fire prevention measures.

The observance also serves as a timely reminder for households, schools, businesses, and government institutions to strengthen safety practices—such as ensuring proper storage of flammable materials, regularly maintaining fire extinguishers, and installing functional smoke detection systems. KIDAPAWEÑONG WRESTLER, HUMAKOT NG MEDALYA SA KOMPETISYON

Matibay na determinasyon at hindi mauuwi sa wala ang anumang pagsusumikap, isa sa mga naging baon ng isang Kidapaweño upang mamayagpag sa wrestling competitions.

Pinatunayan ito ni John Axel Antonio Itorralba matapos na humakot ng medalya sa Reality Fighting League Wrestling Championship sa Cabantian, Davao City noong November 15, 2025.

Nauwi niya ang Silver Medal sa Greco-Roman Wrestling 70kg, Freestyle Wrestling 70kg, at Takedown Challenge Wrestling 70kg.

Bronze Medal naman sa Submission Wrestling 70kg. Naging posible ang tagumpay ng atleta sa tulong at suporta ng mga coach na sina Ritchies P. Solano at Christian Jay B. Boquiren.

Inabutan ng Kidapawan City LGU si Itorralba at mga coaches ng sertipiko na pagkilala kasabay ng isinagawang Monday Convocation Program ng City LGU (December 22, 2025). # #(Djallyca Ganancial | City Information Office)
