Theme: “Passport to Japan: Culture and Communication”

Last March 9–10, our 2nd Year students taking Foreign Language celebrated Nihon no Hi, a two-day cultural event dedicated to highlighting the beauty and richness of the Japanese language, culture, and communication. The celebration served as a meaningful opportunity for students to showcase what they have learned while deepening their appreciation for Japan’s traditions, values, and way of life.

Through engaging presentations, cultural performances, and interactive activities, students experienced a glimpse of Japan—its unique customs, artistic expressions, and the importance of language as a bridge that connects people across cultures. The event was not only a celebration of learning but also a reminder of how language opens doors to understanding, friendship, and global awareness.

With the theme “Passport to Japan: Culture and Communication,” the celebration symbolized a journey beyond the classroom. It allowed students to explore Japan’s heritage while practicing communication skills and expressing their creativity and teamwork. Each activity reflected the students’ dedication, enthusiasm, and growing appreciation for the Japanese culture they have been studying.

More than just an academic event, Nihon no Hi became a vibrant celebration of cultural exchange—bringing together learning, creativity, and collaboration. It truly felt like traveling to Japan for two unforgettable days, filled with discovery, fun, and cultural appreciation.

Last March 9–10, our 2nd Year Foreign Language students celebrated a two-day event highlighting the beauty of the Japanese language, culture, and communication. From cultural presentations to language appreciation, it was truly a journey to Japan without leaving campus! 🗾

🎌 Day 1: Cosplay Event

The first day of the celebration was filled with creativity, excitement, and vibrant energy as students showcased their love for Japanese pop culture through cosplay. Participants came dressed as their favorite anime and fictional characters, bringing them to life with impressive costumes, confidence, and enthusiasm.

The cosplay event highlighted the students’ creativity and passion while celebrating the global influence of Japanese entertainment and storytelling. It was also a fun and engaging way for students to express themselves, connect with their peers, and appreciate another aspect of Japanese culture beyond the language.

Indeed, Day 1 of Nihon no Hi was a colorful and memorable start to this cultural celebration, setting the stage for more activities that continued to promote cultural appreciation, communication, and learning. 🌸✨
