Sir Duds took his Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Math at Southern Christian College and his Master of Arts in Educational Management-Rizal Memorial Colleges, Davao City. He was a T1 in Salunayan High School from June 27, 1988 until August 1, 1995 now an MT1. He served the division as an EPS from 2006 to 2024.
Sir Duds stood as one of the most influential pillars of mathematics education in Cotabato Division. Beginning his teaching career in 1988 at Salunayan High School, he quickly emerged as a prodigy in Mathematics - someone whose mastery elevated not only his students’ performance but also the competence of teachers division-wide. His passion for innovation led him to Damath, where his strategic brilliance propelled him from local Division Math Olympics victories to becoming a National Damath Champion, a triumph that brought immense pride to the division.
Yet, his true impact unfolded far beyond competition. Driven by a desire to uplift the entire learning community, Sir Duds dedicated himself to teaining students and colleagues, producing generations of Damath Champions and cementing the Division of Cotabato as a perennial powerhouse in the field.
Whe he later served as an EPS, his influence reached new heights. He spearheaded and institutionalized numerous math competitions across municipal, district, and division levels- initiatives that significantly strengthened the numeracy skills and mathematical confidence of learners. His programs became platforms for excellence, discovery, and healthy academic engagement across Cotabato.
Among his most enduring legacies is his visionary work in digitalizing math education. Recognizing the future of learning , he led the development and production of high-quality math video lessons, provising accessible, engaging, and curriculum-based resources for the learners in the division.

ZAIDA N. ABIERA
Education Program Supervisor
Division of General Santos City
Zaida N. Abiera is an accomplished Education Program Supervisor in the Division of General Santos City, serving from 2016 to 2025 with leadership roles as Division Focal Person for the Mathematics Program, Deployment of Pre-service Teachers, and the Continuous Improvement Program. A strong advocate of accessible and quality education, she is a proud recipient of several scholarship programs that supported her academic journey. She earned her MA in Mathematics Education as a DepEd-Bukidnon State University Scholarship Grantee and completed her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as a scholar of MSU-General Santos City where she also finished her secondary education. As a salutatorian of Dadiangas South Elementary School, she has consistently demonstrated academic excellence from her early years.
Ma’am Zaida is widely recognized as a National, Regional, and Division Resource Person and Trainer for both local and foreign assisted programs. Her expertise has been tapped in various major initiatives, including the UNESCO Training for Alternative Learning System teachers at the national level, the AUS Aid BEAM program at regional and division levels, and the JICA-funded SMEMDP. She also played roles in the implementation and capacity -building efforts of significant DepEd programs such as the Matatag Curriculum, K-12 Curriculum, RBEC, EBEP, and BEC. Dedicated, service-driven, and passionate about uplifting mathematics education, Ma’am Zaida continues to make a lasting impact on teachers, learners, and the broader education community.

NOEMI E. PARCON
Education Program Supervisor
Koronadal City
Noemi E. Parcon is an accomplished educator and Education Program Supervisor in Koronadal City Division, serving from 2010 to 2024. She earned her Master of Science in Teaching Mathematics in Ateneo Manila University in 2000, enhancing her expertise in math education and pedagogy. She began her teaching career at the Notre Dame of Polomolok as a Teacher 1 from 1984 to 1987 and continued at Koronadal National Comprehensive High School as Teacher 1 from 1987 to 200 before advancing to T3 from 2000 to 2006. She was then promoted to MT 1 from 2006 to 2010, where she demonstrated exemplary instructional skills and leadership in mathematics education. As Education Program Supervisor, Noemi Parcon played a pivotal role in curriculum development, teacher training, and continuous improvement of mathematics programs in the division, leaving a lasting impact on both teachers and learners.
Beyond her administrative and teaching roles, Mam Noemi is widely recognized for her dedication to teacher mentorship and capacity building in mathematics education. She has initiated and facilitated various professional development programs, seminars, and workshops that enhanced teaching strategies, promoted innovative classroom practices, and integrated technology into learning. Known for her commitment, professionalism, and passion for excellence, she has inspired both teachers and students, leaving a legacy of high quality mathematics education and a culture of continuous improvement in her division.

Do not let their cuteness fool you as these little guys from the realm of real numbers can easily ensnare you with just a move of a chip! These Little Math Wizards with their big minds battle for the medals during the 2025 Regional Mathematics Olympics Damaths Competition held at Tupi National High School, Tupi South Cotabato. Together with their older counterparts, they compete for the medals in the following Damaths Competition:

The Event Managers of this year’s Regional Mathematics Olympics were hands-on in orienting the participants and coaches about the guidelines of their respective events and ensuring that every questions was cleared before the actual competition.
