No Face to Face Classes in all Levels for Benguet on August 06, 2026

#𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗞 | Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas, through Executive Order No. 2026-55, has ordered the suspension of 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗦 (𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲) across the Province of Benguet on 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 6, 2026, due to the effects of Tropical Storm "MAYMAY" (KUJIRA).

Residents are advised to remain vigilant, avoid non-essential travel, and monitor official weather advisories. For emergencies or weather-related concerns, please contact your respective Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs).

Kibungan National High School Strengthens Dengue Prevention Through Installation of Treated Mosquito Nets

Kibungan National High School continues to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of its learners through the successful installation of treated mosquito nets in classrooms on August 5, 2026.

This initiative was made possible through the support of the Municipal Health Office (MHO) as part of its ongoing Dengue Prevention and Control Program, which aims to help reduce the risk of dengue transmission in the community. The treated mosquito nets were provided to the school to serve as an additional layer of protection against mosquito bites, helping create a safer and healthier learning environment for students, teachers, and school personnel.

The mosquito nets were delivered by Mr. Epifanio Macario Jr., RMT, of the Kibungan Rural Health Unit (RHU) and a member of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDDRMO). The materials were formally received by the school's Administrative Aides on behalf of Kibungan National High School. Following their turnover, the nets were installed in the identified classrooms under the supervision of the School Nurse Rachel L. Baniqued with the assistance of school personnel.

The activity supports the school's broader dengue prevention efforts, which include health education campaigns, environmental sanitation, source reduction activities, and regular monitoring of potential mosquito breeding sites within the school premises.

Through this intervention, all identified classrooms were equipped with treated mosquito nets, and school personnel were oriented on their proper use and maintenance. This measure is expected to enhance protection for learners and employees while reinforcing the school's commitment to maintaining a conducive and healthy learning environment.

Kibungan National High School extends its sincere gratitude to the Municipal Health Office, particularly Mr. Epifanio Macario Jr., RMT, and all partners who continue to support the school's health and safety initiatives. This collaborative effort reflects the strong partnership between the school and local government agencies in safeguarding the welfare of every learner and promoting a dengue-free community.

📢 ADVISORY | Classes During Yellow Rainfall Warning

In view of the forecasted heavy rains associated with Tropical Cyclone LUIS and the Southwest Monsoon, we remind all learners, parents, and personnel of the following guidelines:

🟡 If a PAGASA YELLOW Heavy Rainfall Warning is issued:

There is NO automatic suspension of classes.
* School operations will continue unless otherwise directed by the Local Government Unit (LGU) or the School Head after assessing local conditions.
* Parents and guardians are encouraged to exercise their judgment and prioritize the safety of their children, especially if travel to and from school is unsafe.

🟠 If a PAGASA ORANGE Heavy Rainfall Warning is issued:
✅ Classes in Preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary are automatically suspended.

🔴 If a PAGASA RED Heavy Rainfall Warning is issued:
✅ Classes at all levels (Preschool to Senior High School) are automatically suspended.

⚠️ Important Reminder
The Heavy Rainfall Outlook/Weather Advisory issued by PAGASA is NOT the basis for automatic class suspension. Official decisions on class suspensions are based on PAGASA Heavy Rainfall Warnings (Yellow, Orange, or Red) and advisories issued by the LGU or school authorities.
