Bolog ES Hosts Cluster INSET on ICT Integration and Item Analysis

Bolog Elementary School hosted the Cluster In-Service Training (INSET) on September 10, 2026, bringing together teachers and school heads from Bolog Elementary School, Nunkigadan Elementary School, and Alimit Elementary School.

Kiangan District Public Schools District Supervisor Geraldine B. Gawi graced the activity and encouraged teachers to continuously learn, enhance their skills, and apply their new knowledge and skills in their teaching practices.

The training featured two sessions focused on technology-assisted assessment. Diana Rose M. Bahiwag, teacher of Bolog ES, discussed Integrating ICT in the Teaching-Learning Process through Designing Interactive Assessments Using PowerPoint (PPT). Meanwhile, John Denver Pinkihan, teacher of Ifugao Technical and Vocational School (ITVS), tackled Item Analysis Using ZipGrade, highlighting the use of digital tools to make assessment checking and analysis more efficient.

The Cluster INSET aimed to strengthen teachers’ digital assessment skills and promote the meaningful integration of technology in the teaching-learning process.

BES journalists join DSPC 2026

17 staff members of The Mountain Echo participated in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026 held at Lamut Central School, Lamut, Ifugao on September 8-9, 2026.

The journalists together with their advisers and the school principal Isabel U. Bongtiwon joined the parade and the opening program on the first day of the DSPC.

On the same day, the journalists competed in their respective events.

Despite the heat, they made it through with positivity and high hopes.

Look! Organic vegetables freshly picked from the Gulayan ready for sale

Preparing, planting, watering and caring for the plants weren't easy. But through the hard work and diligence of our GPP coordinator with the help of the learners, some parents and everyone who supported with the guidance of the school head, the Gulayan continues to flourish and yield such a harvest.

Bolog ES learners, faculty and staff headed by Dr. Isabel U. Bongtiwon, together with Kiangan PSDS Dr. Geraldine B. Gawi warmly welcomed the DepEd-CAR Regional Office team and the SDO Ifugao team at Bolog Elementary School on July 16, 2026.

This visit was part of 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to observe school operations, engage with school leaders, teachers, and learners, and deliver technical assistance to further strengthen school management, instruction, and learner outcomes.

Other schools visited were Batad Elementary School (Banaue District) and Namulditan Senior High School (Hingyon District).

DepEd Tayo Bolog ES participates in the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony on July 06, 2026

The simultaneous flag-raising ceremony held nationwide on July 06, 2026, commemorates the 10th anniversary of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award. Directed by the Department of Education (DepEd) and requested by the National Security Council (NSC), this initiative aims to foster patriotism and understanding of the country's sovereign rights.

OATHTAKING CEREMONY & UNVEILING OF SCHOOL MARKER

Bolog Elementary School celebrated a meaningful day of leadership, partnership, and gratitude as the newly elected School Governance Council (SGC) and PTA Officers formally took their oath of office, administered by Sir John D. Gahid, Administrative Officer IV of SDO Ifugao.

The program highlighted the shared commitment of school and community leaders to support quality education and effective school governance. It was graced by Hon. Samuel C. Ulani, Dr. Isabel U. Bongtiwon, and Dr. Geraldine B. Gawi, who emphasized the vital roles of stakeholders in school development.

The event also featured the unveiling of the school marker in honor of Ma'am Cathy Buenaventura, whose generous donation of the lot made possible the establishment of the school, barangay hall, and Barangay Health Center. The celebration concluded with the ribbon-cutting ceremony witnessed by stakeholders, parents, community leaders, and guests.

𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗧 𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟

Immediately after today's flag ceremony, Bolog Elementary School conducted an earthquake drill led by the school's DRRM Coordinator, Mr. John B. Yogyog, to enhance the preparedness and safety awareness of learners, teachers, and school personnel.

The activity was conducted in light of the recent 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck parts of Mindanao, serving as a timely reminder of the importance of disaster preparedness. Learners actively participated in practicing the proper "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and orderly evacuation during emergency situations.

Bolog ES remains committed to promoting a culture of safety and disaster preparedness, ensuring that every learner is equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to respond calmly and appropriately during emergencies.

Sa pagdiriwang ng ika-128 anibersaryo ng Proklamasyon ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas, kaisa ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon sa pagpupugay sa katapangan at sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani na nagbukas ng landas tungo sa ating kasarinlan.
