Grateful for a meaningful and empowering day for environmental stewardship 🌱✨
Today, December 16, 2025, the YES-O of Mungayang National High School successfully conducted an activity in line with PROJECT E-HIGID, with the active participation of the BLGU of Mungayang represented by BPAT members and students from Grades 10–12.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to DENR Lamut for generously sharing their expertise through a training on seedling preparation and a symposium on key environmental issues, which deepened our learners’ awareness and strengthened their commitment to protecting the environment.
Together, we nurture knowledge, responsibility, and a greener future

On December 11, a Tree Planting Activity was successfully conducted at the Mini Library Forest of the school, highlighting the collective effort of the school and its community partners in promoting environmental protection and sustainability.
The activity was participated in by students and teachers, together with the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Mungayang, local vendors, Alternergy Mini Hydro Corporation, the Ifugao Mobile Force Company, and the Kiangan Municipal Police Station. Their presence and support strengthened collaboration among the school, local government, private sector, and uniformed personnel in fostering environmental stewardship.
The initiative aimed to enrich the school’s green spaces, support climate action, and instill environmental awareness and responsibility among learners. More importantly, it reinforced the value of unity and shared responsibility in protecting and preserving the environment for future generations.

🌿 COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP DRIVE ||
All Saints’ Day 2025 🌿

In observance of All Saints’ Day (November 1, 2025), the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) of Mungayang National High School in collaboration with the BLGU MUNGAYANG officials, day care workers, school clubs and organizations, and community volunteers of Habian participated in the Kalkal Kanal Clean-Up Drive at Habian, Mungayang, Kiangan, Ifugao.

The event highlighted the true spirit of bayanihan, environmental stewardship, and faith in action turning All Saints’ Day into a celebration of both holiness and service. 💚🌎

In line with Proclamation No. 244, which declares September as National Clean Up Month and Proclamation No. 470, which designates every third Saturday of September as International Coastal Clean Up Day, we are reminded of our collective responsibility to protect and preserve our environment. 🌍💚
Mungayang National High School represented by SSLG, YES -O and GSP actively took part in this meaningful celebration through a Clean Up Activity at Duhug, Mungayang, in partnership with the BLGU of Mungayang. Together, students, teachers, and community volunteers worked hand in hand to remove waste, restore cleanliness, and promote environmental stewardship. 🌱✨
