The negative impacts of a lack of good menstrual health and hygiene cut across sectors, so the World Bank takes a multi-sectoral, holistic approach in working to improve menstrual hygiene in its operations across the world.

During this time, where people are encouraged to stay home, let's not make it an excuse to skip our oral care routine!

As we celebrate National Oral Hygiene Month, let's continue to practice proper oral hygiene with these simple ways to keep your mouth clean and healthy:

β˜‘οΈ 𝗕π—₯𝗨𝗦𝗛 (2 minutes - 2X a day) - Two in-depth brushing sessions will reduce plaque and decrease your risk of cavities and gingivitis.
β˜‘οΈ π—™π—Ÿπ—’π—¦π—¦ - Daily flossing will remove plaque and food beneath the gums and between teeth (where tooth decay and gum disease often start).
β˜‘οΈ π—₯π—œπ—‘π—¦π—˜ - Swishing mouthwash for a full 30 seconds will keep your gums healthy and kill plaque that brushing and flossing leave behind.
β˜‘οΈ π—–π—›π—˜π—ͺ - A piece of sugar-free gum after meals will help produce saliva, which battles cavities, neutralizes plaque, and strengthens enamel.
β˜‘οΈ π—©π—œπ—¦π—œπ—§ 𝗬𝗒𝗨π—₯ π——π—˜π—‘π—§π—œπ—¦π—§ - You should have a regular dental check-up at least every 6 months or as recommended by your dental professional.
